ICYMI. Suarez told FIFA he did NOT bite. Simply lost balance, fell into Chiellini +mouth hit shoulder. http://www.as.com/misc/pdf/sancion-s...26-06-2014.pdf …

”

most people if they thought they were falling would reach out with their hands to prevent it, suarez just tries to latch onto something with his teeth as they obviously would provide greater support

Yes it's like when a Labrador grabs a softish football with its teeth. No intention to puncture anything....

I heard that barca were gonna pay 50m plus alexi Sanchez and Pedro. I wonder if Liverpool would be tempted?

That's the thing.
You can see his head move up and over the shoulder like he's trying to get a bigger bite.
The way the Uruguayans are throwing their toys out of the pram is laughable.

This apparently happened after the England V Uruguay match, so before the Suarez incident.

Former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore tweeted that he had seen footage of the fan attack and claimed it would be "the biggest story in the UK, especially who did it".

Disgusting behaviour.

Not sure whether the author actually believes this or if it's a trolling/5h1t stirring article worthy of the Daily Mail.....

The guy who wrote that piece is supposed to be an academic fgs!. Instead he comes across as a typical xenophobe, who simply loathes anything English, and uses this incident with Suarez to massage his own hatreds.

Neither England, nor the English FA had ANYTHING to do with what happened to chomper, that was in the hands of FIFA, and we all know how little (none really) we have over that august body of brown envelope stuffers.

And if this is representative of the views of most Uruguayans then it does Suarez a diservice. How's the guy to get the help he needs and learn to control this violent behaviour if he's being continually told that its 'only a little bite' and you're the innocent victim of a media witch hunt

In contrast, here is an article by a Uruguayan writer who has criticised Suarez and the way he has been irrationally defended in Uruguay to the point where those who dare to criticise Suarez risk their careers as sports journalists and even being branded as traitors. Anyone who thinks the British press go overboard about sport might want to give this a read http://www.theguardian.com/football/...ruguay-traitor

Frankly, I find all this tosh about "help he needs" laughable. He knows he will only get a little fine, and a ban which for him will be a nice holiday, so why would he bother with "help" at all?...

I am certain there will be some "going through the motions" and Liverpool will claim he has sought some form of counselling, but the truth is that he can act as he does because he knows full well that a mass of deluded fans (both Uruguayan and L/pool) will blub and whine about how poor little chomper is being singled out.

Even worse than this, is the people like the xenophobic writer and even the president of his country claiming some sort of conspiracy!. When you have such fools cheering you on, why should Suarez change his tactics, he is the darling of the deluded, and fools one and all, they trot out in his defence once again.

Haven't heard one Liverpool fan defend what he did and that includes me. Yes he's a superb player and was the main reason we finished where we did but I can't defend what he did. If he'd have come out and said he knows it was wrong and is gonna seek help and is sorry for any problems caused to both to club and country. I might have been able to forgive but since he doesn't see there is a problem then Liverpool can sell him to barca.

His statement to fifa makes him a liar.

Why could he not hold his hands up and admit to what he did?

Because the silly Uruguayan FA want to appeal, and they can't appeal the bite if he admits he bit Chiellini

His advisors are making things worse for him

Even if Suarez told his advisors 'I genuinely didn't bite him' they should have turned around, told him to shut up, its on camera, now apologise and take what ever punishment comes your way

Wow. I can summarise this article in a single line to stop anybody else wasting their time reading the ramblings of this crackpot:

"I hate the British and it's cool to cheat".

I conclude that the Urguguans voted for Qatar, so by claiming it has more to do with newspapers than thuggish behaviour they were killing two birds with one stone.

I think it has backfired in that it further highlights Blatter's own tactics and that continued slippery slope we get when he is re-elected..

Not really far removed from most comment pieces by the Guardian these days.

Also, the idea that the English media managed to influence a decision made by FIFA? Hilarious.

Quote:
“Suárez is not a racist; Suárez is not a cannibal; and Suárez is neither violent, nor a sneaky or cheating human being. His friends, his life, and his family, provide abundant testimony of this fact. He is quite the opposite. He "cheats" whenever he feels like it, or whenever he cannot control it, but always within a game. And the game is cheating and winning,”

Er.. I thought the game was not about cheating. So basically it's okay to cheat if you get away with it?

We don't do that sort of stuff. No sir! We play by the rules you cheating South American hand of God merchants!England to win World Cup 2014!

Oh man, I forgot. We're already out.

That is a genuinely disturbing piece of writing. Conspiracy theory wrapped in nationalistic twaddle topped off with an immense slice of paranoia.

Like something that would be posted on RAWK.
