Exactly!

It is a "non apology", apology!

He has not admitted any wrong doing on his behalf!

Keep bashing that straw man; he won't answer back.

After all the denials, and support he got, it was obvious he would have to apologise at some point, as he did last time.

The PR people have got to work on him, but most people will realise he doesn't mean a word of it.

Well he has to mean it this time. Each previous offence has meant a longer punishment. Next time would have to be at least a years ban. No team could support a liability like that. So in effect he is in the last chance saloon already.

Where is Jo Frost when you need her? She knew how to come down hard on disingenuous apologies. She'd put him in time out and tell him that "this behaviour is unasseptable (sic) "

I have to ask what job you do ?

I cannot guess how anyone else gets into situations anything like Suarez. Biting someone in a football game at the world cup in front of millions of people that is quite unique. curious as to what you do and who you have the deal with and what situations people got themselves into to get into the Suarez bracket ?

Happily retired now, but it was to do with employer/employee relations.

Can we expect a groveling apology from Uruguay politicians/journalists now that Mr Fangs has admitted his guilt? Most of South America seemed to think Suarez was completely innocent, a victim of some British conspiracy! But they sure look silly now.

Also, you could make a case that his punishment should be extended by FIFA seeing as his excuse was a pack of lies. What a twit!

To b e honest I would like to see Suarez back playing for Liverpool and lighting up the premier league as he did for most of last season. I just wish he would admit he has a problem and seek treatment for it. I don't see a way back for him here if he doesn't, except as a member of an overseas club.

What all the people posturing around him do is of no interest to me.

He has to say it, but he clearly has no remorse, and doesn't accept his behaviour was anything much.

Does anyone believe it wont happen again? He cant help it, or he wouldn't do it.

Latest reports (BBC) suggest that Liverpool are 'beginning talks' with Barcelona over a potential £80m move for Suarez.

I suspect the above talks would have taken place irrespective of the biting incident. But I do wonder what impact this has had on his value.... (if any).

I've been assured by some posters on here, via 500 word essays, that Suarez is going nowhere. I'm off down the bookies to put my house on it

Can’t wait for the first El Clásico of the coming La Liga season, when Suarez bites Pepe; that will be something to behold.

I can see Saurez's career end way before it's natural finish, and it will be so sad as he is a brilliant player

Haha

I don't know if poor Suarez will live to tell the tale.

There is no way you know he isnt remorseful, that is pure conjecture on your part. hardly clearly as you claim.

Why does he have to say it? He doesnt. The problem with footballers today is that they yield too much power. They dont have to apologise for their actions. Suarez is a huge asset on Liverpools books, £80million worths if some reports are to be believed. You think if he didnt apologise, they would take action against him? Of course they wouldnt.

He is 'apologising' for an accident. For something that was deliberate.

Therefore, no apology.

Therefore, no remorse.

Wasn't it Barcelona who wanted him to say sorry anyway?

He's horrible, he signs a new contract with Liverpool just months ago, now he wants out. I hope they get the £80 for him and good riddance I say.

Your logic is wrong. Just because you did something on purpose, doesnt mean you cant be remorseful about it afterwards. If he believes it was an accident, then his apology/remorse is valid.

Barcelona may have, I dont know. If he doesnt apologise, you think Barcelona wont sign him? Of course they will, if they dont sign him it wont be because he doesnt apologise.

Even if he doesnt go elsewhere he will continue to play for Liverpool earning £10m a year.

As for him signing a contract and wanting to leave, sounds like quite a few footballers to be honest. It was because of Suarez that Liverpool were challenging for the title, no Suarez, no title challenge. I bet most liverpool fans want him to stay.

I realise he's in a bad position at the moment but he's still worth more than that

His behaviour, and language afterwards, together with the support from his countrymen don't show any remorse at all. It was the same last time, but all the right words came later, after PR people got to him.

If Barcelona want him to say sorry, he will, but anyone who thinks he means it is daft.
