I don't think it was a bite. But definitely a headbutt!
I have just seen teeth marks in the footballer's shoulder.

It wasnt a bite

It was a headbut that went wrong

To say he bit him is worse than pathetic

smh
Your username is very apt.

Do you really believe that Suarez didn't sink his teeth in Chiellini's shoulder?

I doubt that FIFA will ban him at this competition, they'll drag their feet.

No one here can possibly defend this animal, as it is crystal clear that he bit the Italian and if it was up to me he would be out of international football for at least 3 yrs.
Agree completely. He's an utter disgrace.

However, I think FIFA will take action sooner rather than later. I don't think they'll have any option. We've all seen it. The whole world has seen it. He needs removing from the tournament immediately.

I think Chiellini should know, he's lucky not to be pulling teeth out of his shoulder.
Plus the fact the other player was trying to cover it up

England should have played on this, and put cheese spread on Cahils arm

Yes, Ramirez pooing himself they were going to lose Suarez, trying to make the Chiellini cover up the evidence.

Hopefully the BBC will send the clip to FIFA.

If Suarez wasn't as good a footballer as he clearly is, Liverpool would have got rid ages ago and its all about money, that's why he and other star footballers who have done illegal things have gotten off lightly.

I can't understand why Suarez wasn't sent off. There were clear teeth marks on the Italian's shoulder and he was protesting loudly to the referee.

They won't need to.

The pictures they receive are from FIFA, so the evidence is immediately to hand.

Let's be honest, if he wasn't a great footballer Suarez would be in some Uruguayan prison for some violent crime of killed in gang violence.

The man is a psychopath.

Well in that case maybe some orthodontics are needed so that any future head-butts don't go wrong for him

the ref didnt see it

perhaps the 4th official watching it on tv should have indicated - a bit like when zidane was sent off.

Fifa must/ will act retrospectively. I can imaging a lengthy ban from international football - that goes without saying.

However it is rather interesting the reaction of LFC fans, and what the club will do.

It is possible that Fifa cannot ban suarez from the premiership (though i question that), but his home club should take a stand and ban him themselves.

He has absolutely 100% brought their club into disrepute. Again.

Ramirez blocked him from getting to the ref. Also there might have been a language barrier.

Not sure what nationality the ref was but would he understand "the bastard bit me" in Italian?
I guess some miming could have been involved.

Once an accident, twice a coincidence, third time a pattern. He is a loose cannon that cannot be bought into line. He needs a six month ban from all levels of football and £1m fine.

Just as amusing here

Suarez's Freddy Mercury style teeth dominate his face..maybe they have a mind of their own?
I can see the press conference now, Suarez removes his teeth and they run across the table and savagely attack the microphones. It's a miracle that he's been able to control them as much as he has!

I bet Suarez was bullied for his teeth when he was little.

Can imagine he would get his revenge on the bullies by outplaying them on the pitch.

I have a big nose, and would get relentlessly teased, but made me a great little player.

Now I don't play anymore, and just have a big nose.

Teeth marks on a shoulder would be evidence that something very serious had happened. I think the ref should have held up play for longer and consulted with the fourth official. He restarted play very quckly and the Uruguayans equalised within two minutes.

At this rate, Suarez is going to need to be licensed and microchipped
