I think people need to educate themselves on Latin culture, especially South American culture (high poverty, violence, murders). Nobody is bothered about it apart from the English media. No we're going to hear about it non-stop for the rest of the summer. Talk about an OTT reaction.

It's boring. Give me a bite over the leg breaking tackle the Italian player got sent off for anyday, if i was a footballer.

Football is the most dishonest sport in the world so why would he own up to it.

Are future clubs going to muzzle him ?

He's a pampered multi-millionaire footballer surrounded by advisors, specialists, sports psychologists, the works. He shouldn't be running around biting people, otherwise you have to accept it from all.
And there's plenty of foreign media interest in The Biter - he was dubbed the Cannibal of Ajax by Dutch press.

As a player I think Suarez is absolutely brilliant but I'm amazed to see him do this for a third time.

Liverpool Stand up and be counted and sell the unstable player

He's probably doing goalkeeping training for the next round.

At least they've got an excuse now when he gets his dream move to Madrid or Barca

Wondered how long it would be until someone came out with this. It's like when was racist towards Evra and some Liverpool fans were saying what he said was a term of endearment in Uruguay, and he was only being friendly. I'm sure this is just another cultural misunderstanding.

Liverpool should sack him and no other club should touch him.............( ....won't happen)

And by the way - it's running on press across the world, from the Wall Street Journal to the West Australian via the Indian Express - it's not just an English media event.

Alan Shearer has the best solution to dealing with Suarez. He says three bites and you're out.

I don't. I've been watching World Cup games (and Euro) for years, this is the first time I've ever seen a player bite someone. On the international stage this is not acceptable. It shouldn't be acceptable at home either, but that's up to them.

I'll have to start watching South American football to see all this biting that goes on all the time

Do this on the street and you get arrested, so if Suarez was to receive something like a 6 month ban from football he should be grateful that it wasn't anything worse.

It's an overeaction here, anyone would think Suarez had eaten a player with sauce and fries.

It's no more serious than a headbutt.

Neither should happen, and culture should be irrelevant on a sports pitch. As should politics.

But Suarez has so many things against his name right now. He dives, he punches, kicks and stamps on players and act like he was the one who was fouled, he fakes injuries, he bites players ( 3 times so far ) he racially abused Evra. He is everything bad about the game.

How does he avoid a red card ?

His teeth are so far outside his mouth that perhaps he was simply running past the Italian when the gnashers inadvertently collided with his shoulder.
