Johnny took things way too far! I know Linda was interfering but she was only trying to help in a misguided way and she obviously adores Johnny. I can definitely see why Johnny blew up and was so frustrated though. Sam Strike was great tonight. Kellie Bright too. Johnny did blow the argument out of proportion. Hopefully Linda and Johnny can reconcile and get past this and be closer than ever. Sam Strike said in Inside Soap that this is exactly what Linda and Johnny needs to repair their relationship completely and he said Johnny will always be a mummy's boy so I think it's safe to say they will make up. Possibly on Friday as I think Linda visits her childhood home and confronts her past

I felt sorry for both Johnny and Linda. Linda I feel went way too far with going to see the university lecturer instead of just talking honestly to Johnny about it. She clearly finds it difficult to accept that he's growing up and needs his own independence. But Johnny also went way too far during the argument, even if he was provoked by her "Well, you're not a man" comment (which was also really harsh of her.)

I am looking forward to them making up because even though this storyline has been well written and well acted, it does make me feel really sad watching it.

I didn't feel all that sorry for her, she deserved most of what he said, barr the last bit. But Jonny handled it very badly, he is very immature. What I did love was how supportive Mick was of Linda, both after the singing and the row with Jonny, he is a lovely husband.

Nope. This is long term. The divisions are already there.

He definitely acted immaturely here but maybe the issue is that when your mum has brought you up with a mixture of babying, over-protection and mollycoddling, that you will respond to stressful situations immaturely as a result.

Yes, I think that is the case here. But he really needs to grow up a bit. Nancy is always telling him what to do (not in a bad way, in a caring way) and he needs to start figuring it all out himself, I think.

I think he will grow up after this, although most of the time he seems pretty sensible and level headed; I think Linda just brings out the worst in him. This whole storyline seems to be about him becoming a man rather than the boy that Linda has been trying to keep him as, so I think we'll see some progress from both of them as a result of it.

Yeah, I hope so. We will learn more about Linda's background soon so that might explain some things. I like Johnny most of the time. Did anyone else wonder if there is something going on between him and his tutor??

It's the last bit that I meant. And yes, Mick is a great husband. Love him and Linda together

SERIOUSLY! This friday it looks as if Linda goes to Gay pride to work things out with Johnny, the type of character Johnny is, he is a mummy's boy things will be patched up in no time!

Does she make it up to him by getting up on a float singing 'It's Raining Men'?

That did cross my mind. I thought that he was going to reveal something about Johnny at one point but then Linda kept going on at him and he seemed to change his mind. It was a bit of an odd conversation.

Agreed, Johnny was out of order
He could have spoken to her maturely
Embarrassing her and belittling her about something she enjoys was a bit off

Yes, I too got the impression there had been a game of Hide the Sausage going on

I didn't sense anything underlying there tbh, must have missed that.

Plus I couldn't imagine Johnny's lecturer being Johnny's type.
