Amazing free kick though, I actually think messi's overall performance in this worldcup has been fairly average, as is also true for the whole Argentinian team. But he still manages these little moments of magic, unbelievable, and thats the difference between him and ronaldo.

Yet. Lets hope he's had a snack or something before the game.

He makes it look oh so simple with that knack of finding space and being in the right place at the right time.

but that's another asset - all that talent and yet he seems to remain a 'Steady Eddie'.

The goalkeeper didn't expect Messi to aim for the same spot again. He could have saved it but hesitation got the best of him.

Messi has pretty much carried an average Argentina team. 4 goals and still in the group stage is very good. So much for him being out of form. lol.

Nigeria - 1
Lionel Messi - 2

The ITV Commentator pretty much pissed all over the effort of the Argentina team right there.

Switzerland scored a direct one v France but it went through the wall along the ground. Not a 'proper' 1 over the wall into the top corner

Why leave out Benzema, Muller, Van Persie, Robben and Rodriguez?

Pundits are gonna go for the usual Messi love in, but he's been up against some clown ass teams. Looking foward to seeing how he does against even a half decent side.
