First hour or so was brilliant but then it fizzled out.
Argentina shouldn't have too many problems getting to the last 8. Nigeria v France has the potential to be a cracker. |

Nigeria still can't avoid defeat to Argentina, but at least they got through, played much better than their first two games and were easily worth a draw. I may be wrong, but I think that is the first time a black or native African coach has got a side into the second round (?), which is definite progress.
Messi was the difference but there were ominious signs other Argentines were stepping up, particularly Di Maria. We are going to have a cracking second round. |
