CS Stephs strange behaviour

From the very beginning I have found the character of Tinas flatmate Stephs behaviour strange. When Tina first told her a mate of hers was having an affair with a married man she barely knew, I thought Steph was taking a way too much of an unusual interest in this and asking a way too many questions considering that she didn't suspect at the time it was Tina who was the one having the affair! And it was just her overall behaviour with Tina, I found something very a miss about it, very needy and over the top slightly psycho crazy she seemed to me, I was nearly full sure she was going to turn out to be Tinas killer as I cant see the point of the character anyway. Even in last nights episode the way she got so upset, she only known Tina five minutes . She just seems very unconvincing to me

That bright pink frock she picked out for the funeral as well.

I mean, it doesn't get any more suspect than that.
She either got dressed in the dark or was on acid.

I think Tinas mother said she would have wanted people to wear bright colours .

I hate the whole storyline. How close did they get in the few episodes they knew each other?!?!

Tina's mother didn't know if it was teatime or 1984.

I suspect she was under the influence of extremely strong drugs mind you, she didn't shed a single tear and thought Rita was absolutely great.

This!! Tina would've wanted everyone to wear wacky clothes so it got on my nerves when Steph got in a state

I'm trying g to decide if Tina's mum is on VERY strong medication, or just played by a really bad actress.

Who's Steph??

Sorry Star, but even that balloon last night was like ... "Who the hell's this frickin' stranger grizzling over Tina???"

Steph was way OTT last night. She hardly knew Tina. Yet she was wallowing and trying to do something deep and meaningful. IMO Corrie crap.

In general, Steph's ok but what purpose is she going to have other than serving in the bistro and seeing out the last of Katie's days on the street? And what about her brother? Will we see some decent SLs for them?

my point exactly putting this character at centrestage during the funeral episode made no sense whatsoever, very unconvincing. Ha first time ive being called star cheers!

I find this in all of the soaps though (well especially CS and EE). Characters know each other for all of two and a half minutes and then their lives are torn apart when one of them dies. Total bollocks IMO.

Well they were flat mates. And they did become friendly with each other. So you could see why Steph would be quite upset. A friend of my Mum's, found her flat mate dead and she was so traumatized she had to have counselling for months. She just couldn't get over it.

But if you found a dead body (flat-mate or not) you'd be traumatised! Steph merely exchanged half-conversations with Tina for a couple of weeks at the most. What I'm more surprised at is Steph's grief being more than Gail's (who was after all - Tina's step-mother - and they were very close for a good while).

Very true UQ. LOLL'ed at this comment from you

--its pretty suspect yeah as colours go as bright pink is just plain crazy haha - bright colours were most likely to have been requested to be worn at the funeral by people, from Tina's mother - it probably would've been this or who seriously in their right mind would ever wear something that colour, to a funeral LOL.

- and enemies for another while: Tina accused Gail of killing Joe; Gail persuaded Tina to abort David's baby.

Let's just be grateful it was only balloons. She could have nipped to the corner shop and bought some white doves, and then released them.

White doves are far more common than people appreciate in the north-west. What most people think of as pigeons are actually white doves - covered in grime and soot.

When you live with someone you get close, and Tina didn't really have many female friends, Steph didn't either so they gravitated towards eachother.

It doesn't matter how long you know someone! I think stephs grief is pretty spot on to be honest!

Anyone dying you know is very sad. But if someone you shared a flat with got murdered you'd be pretty devastated.
