I now have ZenMate which is safe, gives me a US ip address and I can watch stuff on the CBS site. But how does one subscribe to the feeds without an an actual address in the US?

To get the official CBS live feed you will need:

1. To create a free account at cbs.com, using a North American street address.

2. A credit card. The feeds cost about £14 for the season.

3. A North American VPN service to circumvent the geo-blocking at cbs.com. Expect to pay around £12 for the 3 month season. Free services are available (Hotspot Shield etc) but expect to see a lot of buffering.

I don't know how legal any of this is and I'm not advocating any particular course of action. The choice is yours......

I signed up for the feeds and used my usual billing address, except I no longer live in Hampshire, I live in New York.

I was a bit worried when doing it, as I normally use my credit card, but decided to use my Visa debit card this time, but it said it has gone through.

I'm using Hola but still getting 'content is restricted in your region'

I know feeds are hours off but I want to make sure that I'm not left out in the cold- I can't remember how I did it last time!

Best to find a free one. Otherwise you get overcharged for a feed that is heavily censored for the HLs and as you see even at the start we don't get to see what's happening. Only the first of the blackouts

I've done all of that - purchased ibvpn for £7 (which will last the 3 months) and I'm STILL being greeted with 'content is restricted in your region'

Help - if I can't watch the videos I won't be able to watch the feeds either

Start by wiping any CBS cookies from your browser, then close it and restart your computer. Connect to your vpn with your browser closed. Then open your browser and check your computers apparent "location", google is your friend. Connect to cbs.com only when you are sure your computer has a North American ip. Good luck.

So the feeds will not be on until 6am BST or 10pm PST. Not sure I am going to stay awake for them to start.

I am not very good at the techy bits, but what vpn are you using? Also I found doing the above advice with the cookies helped too.

It took me a good hour to get mine to work, the cookies thing mentioned above is essential.

I used both of those yesterday to watch some old episodes to see if it worked and I found I had to try a couple of different Hola servers before finding one that worked ok. Try clearing your cache/cookies and try out a couple of different US servers.
