He finds hiding in bars and disrespecting his mother far more intellectually stimulating than any book.

Yes, the realistic depiction would be for him to go and study in the university library, but the dramatic potential this would present is basically:

*massive dramatic Carter scene kicks off at The Vic*

*camera cuts to Johnny revising in a silent university library*

Characters need to be near other characters in soaps in order for things to happen. I just assume that Johnny revises at the library when he's on campus and revises at home as well. It's really not a big deal.

I was laughing at him last night studying at the end of the bar with the karaoke going on! This technique might be the reason he failed in the first place.... maybe he has run off to the library

If only there was some sort of big red button on every post that you could press when threads don't meet your exacting quality standards

It doesn't warrant alerting moderators, I'm just trying to educate and moderate behaviour.

Perhaps you could make a thread listing your dos and do nots for this forum? I'm sure we'd all find that really helpful.

You might like to check out the rules, there is a link to them in a big red box every time you post and a link in the navigation bar on every page. I'd recommend the section entitled "Disruption: Unconstructive, off-topic and pointless posts" as a starting point. As a stickler for quality of threads I'm sure you'd find them a fantastic read.

To get back on topic, Johnny is a yellow-bellied coward who couldn't even fight off a couple of large, violent, and potentially armed thugs without any fighting experience - an education would be wasted on him.

I would love to but somehow I feel it wouldn't be taken seriously.

He did call him "naughty" though, which is way more suggestive.

But their username suggests they were born in 98 so I see them as an innocent little sausage, much like Linda with Johnny.

Naughty Johnny needs to go to the library. Do you think Linda will spank her little Johnny sausage if he screws up again? Or would Deano oblige?

But even if he remains at home, why attempt to revise both in the kitchen and the bar area?

The two busiest places in the building.

Go to your room idiot.

He would end up on porn though and someone (Deano) might walk in

To be fair, I looked for any excuse to be distracted during revision. A busy bar is the perfect place for something to provide that.

I'm just trying to educate and moderate behaviour.
That's not your job.

I don't particuarly have an issue with him not revising in the library so much as him hardly revising at al. I think last night was only the second time we've seen him do it in 6 months? I realise we don't need to see it for him to be doing it but where would he find the time between his job at the Albert, helping out at the Vic, arguing with his Mum, batting Whitney off and socializing all of which we do see him do reguarly. He hardly ever enev seems to attend lectures let alone put in extra study. Failed some of the modules, I'm amazed he passed any!

I don't really understand why they had him be doing Law which is one of the most study intensive degrees if they were just going to have him be working in the Square most of the time like everybody else. Unless they've always intended to have him fail and drop out.
