I had a fresh chicken tikka ready meal from ALDI the other night. It only cost £1.49 so wasn't expecting anything fantastic.
I've been eating less so the smallish portion of chicken didn't bother me too much. Some may be disappointed and feel ripped off.
It was the amount of sauce and rice that surprised me.
I had about 1/3 of the sauce leftover and had plenty on the plate.
I only ate 1/3 of the rice. There was loads of it.
I realise that they're going to have more cheap filler carbs than protein but the amount of rice did seem excessive.
Do you buy ready meals and what is the ratio like? Do you think you're getting value for money?
