Come On Over vs Jagged Little Pill
I was listening to both these albums today they are two most successful albums by a female solo artist of all time.
Shania Twain - Come On Over (1997) has reportedly sold 39 - 40 million copies Alanis Morissette - Jagged Little Pill (1995) has reportedly sold 33 - 35 million copies Which do you prefer? or do you dislike both? |

I like both but I think Jagged Little Pill does it for me as an overall work. Come On Over is just brilliant though I really need to listen to the original country version though as I've only listened to the remixed pop International version.

I can honestly say that I've never listened to "Jagged Little Pill" in full. I've only heard the singles. My Mum played "Come On Over" to death when I was a child. That's the only one that I'm fully aware of. That album has a lot of childhood memories attached to it.

I don't like either. Ironic and Man! I Feel Like A Woman! are both hideous! All the singles (plus album tracks) were overplayed to death on the radio. No thanks to both of them.

I like both equally, but if I compare them objectively, I'd say JLP is the 'better' album, as it's more from the heart and has more depth. You Oughta Know has so much anger coursing through it and Perfect is just heartbreaking.

Jagged Little Pill definitely. I could listen to Alanis's voice all day.

I would definetly recommend it, its an experience.
It does sound incredibly 90s. Does anyone think that the 90s has aged really badly? |

Jagged little Pill is absolutely flawless from beginning to end.
The thing with JLP is it's so personal but resonates so widely and is really accomplished for someone so young. It packs so much emotion into twelve tracks that it was and is still honest and refreshing. But both have their legacies and have created a lasting impact. |
