Oh oh I think I know this one.....5-1 England. ......Owen made a hat trick...it was a qualiufing match.....for .... the 2006 World Cup?
2006. And how many times have they beaten us since then? Or even since 2000?

Actually I was just thinking what a boring game this is, unusual for Germany who normally have a bit of pace. Msut be the rain.

"That long range effort is a penalty"
On goals scored by Klose at the World Cup.
That's why Gary likes him

That wasn't the statement though. He said he's struggling to think of the last time England beat Germany. The 5-1 stands out.

We beat them in 2008, under Capello, just after they'd been in the final of the Euros.

Although they've beaten twice since then.

That was a friendly though.

Germany in front.

Terrific strike from Thomas Muller after Tim Howard made a great save from the first attempt.

USA still going through though as things stand.

Great goal.

Muller could catch up with Klose at this record.

That USA defender actually jumped away from the shot rather than try to stop it.

I pointed out Muller yesterday when several posters said it was between Messi and Neymar for the Golden Boot.

Why would you rule out Muller? or Robben & Van Persie and a couple of others.
