If Germany get 1 more Portugal will need 2 more to complete the 5 goal swing to go through.

Edit: or of course 1 more for Ghana

Ghana have equalised against Portugal!

That's surely Portugal out of the frame, and Ghana will only get in the frame if they take the lead.

That's more like it...Germany score!

2nd half always works better donnit.

Jermaine Jones looks a bit facially like Eddward Scissorhands, anyone else see that?!

It was a terrific goal. The cross is an absolute peach of a ball.

Ghana have missed a great chance for 2-1.

Even if Ghana score another they could still go out if this scoreline remains. Right?

things very interesting now

Ghana through if they win (1 goal more) and this result stays the same

If the USA go 2-0 down, they'll be level with Ghana on goal difference and goals scored but will go through on the head-to-head result.

If Ghana take the lead against Portugal, Ghana will go through on goals scored.

Another Yellow Card for USA.

Must say that tackle wasn't necessary

That felt like many years ago.
Is it the same one?

I think they have a rule since 1966 that there has to be a Muller in the team.

Why would you rule out Muller? or Robben & Van Persie and a couple of others.”

There's quite a few on 3. Benzema is another and there is also even a Swiss player.
If Muller is now on 4, that makes 3 players on 4 goals, and 6 players on 3 goals.

Yes more sounds of the 12th man in the stands! And I think I just made my throat sore!

German defenders not looking as decisive as usual - perhaps because they've had so little to do in this match.
