Imagine USA won the world cup and then the MLS became the major world league within 5 years.

That whipping Portugal received from Germany has really screwed them up hasn't it?

Yep, they are going to join us, Italy and Spain in the bin. You'd have got big odds on none of those four getting out the groups.

Germany are winning? Klinsmann must be pleased.
He won't be displeased. He's qualified from the group.
Most probably think Portugal were favourites to qualify with Germany.

It would have made today far more interesting had Germany only narrowly beat Portugal.

Cost them qualification ultimately.

Beasley didn't foul him there.

There have been some atrocious ref decisions in this World Cup.

Partly... But I think that any one man show of a team eventually ends up flittering out. Only one man can do so much

If they'd just taken care of business against the US in the second game then it wouldn't have done. But maybe the psychological effect of the beating hampered them for the next game.

Yes. I bet some teams don't see how crucial goal difference in the first match will ultimately have major consequences in the final one.

Oh, that would have been a fantastic goal!

Brilliant covering block though.
