Despite all the stick they get in the press, England players donate their international match fees to charity and play purely for the pride of playing fro their country.

Virtually all the Ghana players will play for top European clubs and will already be on huge salaries.

Seems quite shameful to me that they are demanding these fees from their government which could be better spent on the poor in Ghana.
They are not demanding money off their government. They are seeking money the Ghanaian FA agreed to pay them which is rightfully theirs. The government is bailing out the GFA and will be reimbursed when FIFA dish out the prize money.

It's all about money...what happened to having the pride of representing your country at the World Cup??? money grabbing *****
The Ghanaian FA should not offer those sums in the first place. It isn't the players problem.

Thrashed, I am not so sure it would be thrashed. From a footballing point of view, the portugal/ghana match would be a better game to watch. Two similar matched teams, the other game could be too one sided. That of course depends on how seriously Germany take it.

On sky, you cant record the red button events.
On Sky this match and the red button in general is available on channels 981, 982 (maybe for the 5live commentary) and in hd on 985 so it can recorded. If you haven't been able to set it up to record you can do this using the sky+ app. Don't think this is dependent on having your box connected to the net though.

The players 'problem' is that they are more interested in more money rather than playing football for their country. Why are you defending them???

Presumably you would expect to be defended if you turned up for work and didn't get paid?

Big game this with Portugal potentially crashing out of the tournament. Wish ITV had it as red button streaming is pretty useless on Virgin.

Ronaldo's team mates made him head that straight at that keeper. *rolls eyes*

Surely the Ghana players should be giving their fees to charity considering how abysmal they have been

All or nothing for Ghana now. They can't be thinking about the other game, they need to go for it.
