Hope Argentina win and Messi turns up after his quiet last game.
Backed him to score 2. |

IGN has released its EA FIFA World Cup final simulation. Assumed line-ups and formations. Most have been off the mark but this one seems plausible. 10 mins runtime.http://youtu.be/UWqRM3v296I

Backed him to score 2. - to win the golden boot, which would mean he needs to score at least 2 goals and 2 assists just to equal James Rodriguez (Colombia). Muller is better placed, needing only 1 goal to draw level with Rodriguez.Muller has been terrific this world cup, Messi hasn't. Messi needs to up his game if Argentina are to win. |

Can't see anothre Final thread, so this will have to do.
I think Germany will win, but until they do one can only see if that happens![]() Wish both teams well and hope to god we have a great match.

So this is it then.
The 64th and final match in this 2014 World Cup is the one which will decide it, and let's be honest, the biggest match that is ever played in competitive football. The only thing I hope is that the match reflects everything that has made this World Cup such an incredible tournament, and the destination of the cup is not decided by something contentious. As many have said since we've known who the two finalists will be, something closer to 1986 than 1990 will be the icing on the cake. |

I'm surprised they haven't moved the pundits into the stadium for the Final.

I don't think there's anybody happier than me that Alan Hansen will grace our screens for the last time tonight. Thank God. Miserable, ungracious git.. I want Germany to win - to some small extent also to shut him up.

You'd think the BBC crew were off to a funeral or a court appearance! ITV not bothering.. What's the commentary like on 5Live... not sure I can handle another Lauro match
