Who do you think they will be and how will they have left the show?

Emily Bishop, Corrie.

She'll have left the show through dying.

Sophie and Maddie; they will have been prosecuted under the Trades Description Act for pretending to be actors.
Rita, Emily and Ken will all be in their 90's, but it would be nice to think they will still be about and will make the odd appearance.
It will be interesting to see how many of the child actors progress to adult roles.

In ten years time, Cotton & Fiz will still be there - a crowbar couldn't prise those two charlatans away from the gravy train.

Elsewhere on the street, Curly Simon will be telling his employer that he "hates him" after learning that annual leave for July is already fully booked, before sobbing uncontrollably into the midriff of the nearest co-worker.

Quite where he learned such self-entitled traits continues to be a mystery.

Meanwhile, Eccles will be on her third sordid affair - whilst poor, put-upon, round-shouldered Anna will now be so hunched, she actually resembles a sphere.

Hopefully Gary and Izzy will have gone.

Have a feeling Ken won't be there, can't see Bill Roache lasting another 10 years for some reason. Not sure about Emily either but I think Rita will still be there.

Tracy will still be around marrying men for their money and then doing them in when they're of no further use to her.

Hopefully the Windasses will be gone. Hopefully.

Don't think Chesney and Sinead will last much longer. They're pretty pointless.

I want to see Mary still in ten years time. I know she's pointless as well but she actually works in that role, just popping up whenever and wherever.

Simon will probably be the new David with anger management issues. *sigh*

Deirdre, Eileen, and Liz will be the next generation of gossiping old ladies snarking in the corner of the pub. Hilarity will ensue.

Sean and Michelle will have been murdered by Corrie viewers.

A sobering thought: how many of us will still be watching Coronation Street and meeting here on DS in ten years time? "We knoweth not the time nor yet the hour........." and all that the bible teaches us.

90% of them hopefully. I think Liz, Steve and MissHell will be gone by then. All the Windarses with any luck. David and Kylie Platt might try to 'break Hollywood' etc.

Sadly I think some of the older ones will be gone, Rita, Ken and Emily in particular. Howeer, I do think they will be in their roles until death or they get some terrible illness that makes them unable to work (although I really wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy). I am hoping Michelle, Maria and Fiz will be long gone too, but somehow I doubt it lol.

It will be sad to see all the older faces leaving but that's why I think its important that they continue to develop characters like Sally, Gail and Dierdre. They need to keep that link with the past and I hope they hold onto Alison King because she is a classic all on her own.
I love the way they are developing Sally, she could turn into something even more fantastic. Wish they'd give her more screen time too.

Hopefully half of the cast. I doubt Coronation Street will last ten more years if it carries on the way it is. The show needs the biggest turn-over the soap opera world has ever seen in order to save it now.

Are the ratings continously decreasing or are they steady now? I gather that they've dropped by several millions since 2010.

They seem to be about the 7 - 8 million mark.
