Kierston has started attending Z list "paid to appear" type parties such as one last night to promote a particular brand of fake tan lotion.An event were shes in the company of Helen Flanagan,Big Brothers Aisleyne,Casey Batchelor and lingerie models wanting to make it into the bigtime.
In a way Im sad for her but Im surprised shes found herself in a position were she has to attend such unprestigious PR events.She seems reluctant to acknowledge it publicly not even responding to a tweet about the event she received from someone who met her there.

This is what happens when you leave a high profile show and slag it off. Potential directors and producers see you as a liability and won't touch you.

Very good point.I admired her honesty but from a career perspective it may have been foolish.

She was well known before EE though. She did tons of british tv and films. I doubt one show can ruin her career. She has already bagged a role in an upcoming E4 drama anyway. She hasn't resorted to doing the normal cliche thing by doing a reality show or panto

She never slagged it off. She said she never enjoyed her time because she wasn't used enough. Interviews kept asking her about her time on EE and she told the truth. And she was right and many people on here felt the same.

I'm looking forward to the new E4 drama Glue that she's due to appear in. Actors and actresses appear at these promo things all of the time. She has a pretty strong acting C.V pre-EE so I'm sure her career will be fine.

Even Hollywood actors appear at promotional events. The difference is that they're usually for more prestigious products like a fashion label or club but the end result is still the same. They get photographed at these events and get free swag in the process. Unfortunately for Kierston, as a TV star she's a bit down the pecking order which is why she's appearing at a fake tan event and you have Corrie actors opening Poundlands.

I think its the blurring of the lines between actor and celebrity that is regretable.If it had of been mainly actors at this event it would have looked better but bracketed with z listers wannabees and havebeens aint a good luck esp as its mainly folk who want fame for fames sake it seems .I honestly thought shed have been invited to pr at events a notch higher to be honest.As I said sad.

But seriously , she was the victim of extremely poor writing and characterisation , spending most of the time in bed nagging Max .

So you can't blame her for slagging off EE when she left . Newman and her squad of morons ruined her career .

Whether she was successful before it or not, She slagged off EE and that will make potential hirers think twice about using her.

Personally I like her. I also agree with the comment that most celebs A or Z list promote products based on their fame.

As for slagging off the show, I'm not convinced in many people's minds it's considered 'slagging' if it's truth. She talked about being underused and that the show wasn't dramatic enough - two very factual comments.

Considering she's a Bafta nominated actress I thought EastEnders treated her appallingly. Bearing in mind DTC has a good eye for a story and has attracted some fine acting caliber he obviously thought the character was beyond redemption. Big shame.
