Wow. You don't get drama like that in anything else.
What a great start to the knockout rounds! |

Only fair that the penalty shoot out should be as dramatic, nerve-wracking and gripping as the match itself.
Did anyone else take a few seconds to realise that the last Chile kick hit the post? I don't know if Brazil has any wind farms but I think they could generate a ton of energy from all the sighs of relief being breathed around the country right now. Poor Gary Medel, in tears after a magnificent effort at the back all match. Full credit to Neymar, the way he calmly tucked away that final Brazil penalty with the knowledge that missing might send Brazil out was absolutely amazing. |

Mentally and physically this match will be a huge drain and has got to impact against Columbia/Uruguay in the quarters.

Thought you weren't allowed to stop your run up taking a penalty?
Should have been retaken, but that would of course never happen to the hosts and their golden boy |

No rules against pausing, call it what you will when taking a penalty but you can look a right nob end if you don't score

"If Brazil can hit form, the other teams should be worried."
They've had nearly 4 and a half matches and they're still shit. Give me a break. |

"Neymar was sensational". Well not really Hansen. Played alright, then scored a penalty at the end. Overhyping a popular, overhyped player yet again. Sort it out pundits.

"Well that's all from us right now. Hope you enjoyed that. From all of us, good night!" This match deserves.....reflection. Not an advert break. |

I thought Neymar was going to have a Baggio moment but credit to him he put it away well.

Bloody shame.
Bloody post. Never mind Chile thanks for a fantastic WC and you have gained a fair few fans from around the world. |

You are not, it was a foul kick.
Should have been retaken, but that would of course never happen to the hosts and their golden boy Again, Julio Cesar seemed to be well off his line for his first penalty save. Must also be pointed out that Howard Webb now no longer needs to be smuggled out of the country in the cargo hold of an airplane. |
