Columbia are good, but. England would have beaten them, if they weren't so unlucky in the groups stage

From goal of the tournament to team goal of the tournament.

We're watching a rising power in World Football here. Colombia have been a pleasure to watch.
I agree with you that we are probably seeing a rising power in football, Chile too. but I'm not sure I'd rate them as the team of the tournament so far though.
Columbia had an easy group. Personally I think Holland look stronger, getting through a much tougher group.

I'd love a Columbia versus Holland final though. What an exciting prospect that would be.

Two great goals, cohesive team play. It's just like watching... another yellow-shirted team.

Few dubious challenges coming in now from the Uruguayans.
As much as we've enjoyed him playing, maybe withdrawing Rodriguez would be a good idea, in order to save his ankles.

A 3rd goal would wrap this up.

Brazil will find a way against Colombia, somehow they'll get through.
Sadly, I think you may well be right.

Yes, I'd agree with that.

You saw how Cavani snuck in a stamp when he saw it was Rodriguez challenging him.

Uruguay ... one man team.

Hope the little cheat gets pilloried at home ... but I dare say he won't get the Beckham treatment.

Come on Colombia ... get a few more

They are nothing without Suarez...nothing!!!
Uruguay have struggled without Suarez and yet Colombia have done anything but struggle without their talisman, Falcao. Shows what a good team they are.

More space in this game than the earlier one. Colombia are spreading the play really well.

I think he might be the Rooney of that era. A very good footballer on form but not quite at the top level as he's billed to be.

Uruguay woken up as they have to. Will suit Columbia to counter. I think they've scored first in all their games be interested how they'd handle falling behind and having to chase a game.

Sadly? If Brazil win fairly then they will deserve to progress.

Maybe if Scholari drops Fred and plays Hulk up front instead. Otherwise, Colombia have the team ethic of Chile with the added cutting edge that may be too much for Brazil.

I won't be doing anything other than watching that game, that's for sure.

Uruguay should have put Hernandez on from the start.
He has an impressive strike rate, similar to Suarez, but playing much fewer matches.

I thought Colombia vs Holland would be a semi-final. I don't know the draw 100% at this stage though. Still, that would be an excellent match - attack vs counterattack.

Yes, that would be lovely.

I don't really follow South Amercian football much, so I didn't know what to expect from Columbia. Team of the tournament? No, but for me, a very pleasant surprise, even more so than Chile.

Yeah, that wasn't great.

As long as he bangs 'em in for Liverpool!

In all seriousness though I think Hazard deserves to be in your list, even if he hasn't set this WC on fire (yet).

Uruguay just don't seem to have the creative attacking moves.
Much like England.
