No, Columbia and Holland can both make the final as they're drawn in different halves of the round of 16. It would be great wouldn't it?
Ah, thanks. That's the final I want now too.

I'll need to look up the draw again cause I've obviously completely forgotten it.

Cavani hasn't been good in this tournament.

Maybe a little too much but no real reason to kill themselves as it stands, maybe more in reserve for the next match Jason.
Yep, fair point - and I suppose it's doubly important to keep something in reserve when you're playing against a side who've experienced the physical exhaustion of playing 120 minutes and the mental exhaustion of going through a penalty shoot out.

There's the final whistle: a thoroughly deserved victory for Colombia courtesy of a fine team performance capped by two outstanding goals by James Rodriguez, who is not just currently the top scorer in the World Cup but currently the best player in the World Cup.

Their quarter final with Brazil promises to be an absolute belter.

Anyone would think Colombia were losing the face on their manager!

Has the spray paint used to show 10 yards for free kicks been stopped for the play offs?

Good riddance Uruguay.
Agreed. They go home in disgrace.

Decent game. Fantastic goals.

The best team won, with flair, imagination and well, James Rodriguez.

Just a pity it's on ITV. I really hope someone gets Tyldesley a pronunciation guide before Friday so he learns that the player of the tournament so far is called Hames not Jaymes.

Well done Colombia, they certainly deserved the victory over the 90 minutes. Their two goals were fantastic.

Hopefully they can continue their fine form against Brazil next Friday night.

No doubt the manager will blame the stress of the Suarez saga and the way it affected the team for the defeat but their performance, or to be more accurate their conduct on and off the pitch has been nothing short of disgraceful.

In 1986, after Uruguay had fouled Scotland from first whistle to last to deprive them of a place in the second round of the World Cup, the head of the Scottish FA said that Uruguay was "the scum of world football".

28 years on, not much seems to have changed.

Shame Falcao wasn't available for Columbia.

I do think Brazil will beat them

Fixed that for you.
