He's too good for the Premier League.

Depends if he feels after this World Cup that his talents lie in something greater than the French League.

Good response from Uruguay to going behind.

I really want Rodriguez to score another in this match.

Have I mentioned that I have a Colombian uncle?

That's true actually, so my team for the rest of the tournament is sorted. I think they can beat Brazil next too.

Let's see... would you want to move from the tax free millionaires playground of Monaco to Stoke or Hull?

Hull - as the colour yellow suits him

It will need to break either Neymar or Bale's world record transfer fee (depending on who you believe has it out of those two), for Monaco, to even consider selling him, which even then, I don't think that they would.

I think it just exceeds Cahills' effort. Strike of the tournament for me.

Same here, I was typing in a post, looked up and saw the ball going into the net. I needed the replay to appreciate just how good that goal was.

Do it again, Rodriguez - with the other foot.

Is he called Carlos ?

Not sure whether the goalies very feint touch on the goal to knock it to the bar added to the beauty of that goal, or not.

Was a fab goal though, terrific control on the chest

Why didn't the Premier League clubs fight harder for Rodriguez? This guys looks like he's going to be challenging Neymar and Bale for world's best player after the Messi/Ronaldo era. To think of all the money Tottenham wasted when they could have bought this guy.

I do like this Colombian side - certainly my favourite of the South American nations.

Can see quite a few of these Colombia players being snapped up by bigger sides after this tournament.

James Rodriguez will never make it he's too one footed

Commentary gets Tello correct, but not James. Maybe shouldn't be annoying but it is..

Its hard to say if its better they're both kinda equal, outside the box, crossbar in (neither absolute top corner), keeper no chance however.

To be fair, even if Spurs did buy him I doubt he would've stayed at White Hart Lane after these performances.

Players can go anywhere these days, clubs and contracts no longer matter.

I think Rodriguez's is better because it was from longer range - plus Cahill's wasn't taken off his chest and on the turn either.

other thing is for all the focus that there has been on Uruguay's answer to Richard kiel being missing , Colombia are also missing their first choice striker with falcao being out injured

That should be a card, but didn't see one.

Great individual goal; probably the best individual goal of the tournament. However, I'm more a fan of team goals. Still, great goal and love his first touch control by his chest. See, Hulk, that's how to chest a ball and score without using your arm.

Cavani is Uruguay's Wayne Rooney.
Gets his chances but pisses them away.
