Hi, wonder if anybody can help me.

I bought a Cubot S208 5" phone mainly because of the large screen/price and I'm really happy with it - except that I can't find a silicone case for it.

The supplied case is just awkward and I really need something to stop me dropping the phone, which is very slippery.

I have looked at some of the branded 5" phones to see if the cut-outs match up but I can't find one which has the holes in the right places. If I could identify which phone this is a clone of I might be able to get an alternative case for it.

No, there are no silicone or gel case/covers listed, just flip ones, which are not what I need.

Just keep checking. One will probably turn up. There are silicone cases for other Cubot models on there.

Unfortunately this is an issue you will encounter if you choose to buy a phone from a manufacturer which isn't commonly sold in the UK. Accessory manufacturers only cater for the most popular devices and brands because it's not worth them making cases where the market is very small.

Personally, I prefer a flip case, to keep the whole phone protected, just like Toast phones always seem to land important side down, and its a hell of a lot easier to source and buy a case than replace a touch panel and LCD.

I had the same issue with the excellent Zopo phone (does most of what a Samsung Galaxy 4 or 5 can offer, but at around £200).

An E-bay trader I found is selling really nice cases, which will probably fit your model. All you ned to do is work out which of the existing cases, such as a Samsung, is closest to yours. Spec sheets are easily available on the interweb
