13 episodes of Doctor Who a year is fine with me. Always take quality over quantity, so here's hoping. I've got the same feeling about episode lengths. There was much debate about The Day of the Doctor's running time...60 minutes? 90? etc. Moffat addressed the question by basically saying it's as long as it needs to be. Which is the correct answer.

Be very surprised if 'Deep Breath' is under an hour. It's such an important episode, a Doctor's debut, and there'll be a lot of ground to cover, methinks. BUT...if it's a great introduction story for Peter C and can be told in less than an hour, all well and good. It's been a wait, but it's all starting to feel quite close now.

Well personally I'm just thankful it isn't just 5 again like it was in 2012.

Don't see it as losing 1 episode. See it as gaining 12 episodes.

the only think i did like about the split in season 7 is we never had to wait that long after christmas we will most likely have to wait till the august after i love love if they did season 9 with an easter start like they use to they could show 6 episodes from late april till june then have the show return in august or september for the next 6 then the christmas special the most of 4 months would be the gap
