It's also a bit strange to start BBC's flagship sci-fi show in August when September/October is when all new autumn drama shows begin. Can't fathom out why August is the best time!
Anyway, looking forward to it. I'll miss Matt Smith but the Doctor Who ship never stops sailing. Onwards! ”
They want to get the dvd boxset out in time for Christmas.

'Am I Good Man' makes grammatical sense if 'good man' functions as a compound definite noun (as with 'Black Rod') rather than an adjective + indefinite noun.
I think it's interesting and will be leaving my case open for now.”
Perhaps there is a scene where the Doctor and Clara come acrosss someones' written tribute to the Doctor. Here is my over complicated mind fart about a potential idea of what will happen in deep breath, imagined from only one trailer, so this is complete randomness, spoiler tags in case someone has been living a totally spoiler free life
Spoiler
capaldi - totally messed up, who am I, what do I stand for? Clara - uh oh, things have really messed up, is this my fault - I asked the timelords to intervene but didn't want this buffoon, what have I done, increased sense of self doubt and guilt and longing for the fun days with eleven
....
tardis lands itself and takes the doctor where he needs to be, they end up in victorian england, they meet the paternoster gang. Clara is relieved, familiar faces, she can explain the change. Doctor does not behave like the doctor, in fact he is very much in doubt he is any kind of hero, he needs someone else to solve the problem for him, just as well the gang are here. They get very confused about the new doc, Clara delivers the line from the trailer, increasingly she feels bigger sense of guilt and increased sense of frustration
.....
adventure unfolds, she tries to help the doctor renember himself, she finds story written by kid that thanked the doctor. Its written to his hero "good man". Capaldi asks, am I good man? In reference to the story
....
adventure ends, doc picks out new costume, they land on modern earth, tensions grow in Clara as a result of her missing Eleven, not getting that proper chance to say bye because the regen in the TARDIS was just so quick (if I remember correctly he went almost as she said dont go, she didnt even say goodbye) and feeling bad for being the cause of Capaldi appearing
....
that phonecall happens, capaldi gets telepathic download or something, he remembers a bit more who he is and why he chose the name the doctor, Clara speaks to eleven, she is bit reassured but also given the responsibility of helping Capaldi be the doctor. She also gets to say goodbye properly and tell eleven how much he meant to her and that she will miss him
...
jenna realises that Capaldi is the doctor, she hugs, cue the music and mini trailer for hext weeks episode.
I'm pretty sure it's either the cutting of the clip, as it does sound slightly disjointed after "be my pal", or possibly an accent thing. Being from the Glasgow area myself, Capaldi's voice doesn't sound out of place for saying "am I a good man".
There also appears to be a thing for saying "am a..." instead of "am I a..." in Scottish accents I notice sometimes

Will see when the episode airs but if you have speakers turn them all the way up... no "a" the BBC wouldn't put a incomplete trailer out for it's flagship show
A post above references that during the episode the Doctor talks about a little girls letter that calls him "Good Man" which is why he asks "Am I good man?" rather than Am I a good man.

It really is baffling isn't it? Cannot believe its even under discussion. Its Am I A Good Man? Nothing else makes sense logically or grammatically or dramatically.

That thing about the letter was completely made up speculation by the poster to explain why it could be 'am I good man'. Nothing to do with the episode or rather known facts about it.
Bloody hell - he so obviously says A in that sentence - Am I a good man is what he says! quite frankly if anyone actually thinks there is no A in there, they are either deaf or not listening properly.

The official BBC YouTube video is entitled 'Am I a good man?'
Case closed not that it should ever have been open.”
Unless the line before has the Doctor saying 'In my experience you can either be 'good man' or 'bad man'. ......
You just do not hear the quotes around the phrase.

Exactly! I realise the audio isn't super clear...but then why should it be? This isn't sesame street. Its a trailer and as such was slightly stylised. Just because you cant hear the A doesn't mean it isn't there or supposed to be. But in embarrassed to even be caught up in this debate. Its why Doctor Who fans get a bad name.
Its 'am i a good man?' and that's that. Now lets just enjoy the promo eh?

So you are complaining about getting caught up in a debate whilst you are encouraging more people to comment on this when you make comments like the ones you made in the first line.
Making something harder to hear does not make something intellectually difficult, it is just annoying. You didn't hear people say "thank you BBC for showing Jamaica Inn because it was difficult to hear the first episode and one of the characters".
Ok so why did the official BBC Doctor Who Facebook page post say "Am I good man…?” This was two days ago, if it was a typo they've had plenty of time to change it!

The same quote is also on the doctor who.tv website (BBC worldwide doctor who website) and it is highlighted as well.

and why is the actual trailer called "Am I a good man?" in quotations?
