Briefly off topic (sorta)

The only thing that has really irked me about the whole storyline is why are James an Moira so convinced that Adam is James' son? I don't know much about these things but, as John and James are brothers surely it would be very difficult to determine which brother was the father. I don't know a lot about these things so I would be interested to know how they can differentiate between two brothers to the point they can say one is the father.

I don't know a lot about these things either but I think the dna link goes down by a lot for father or uncler. Perhaps a 80 per cent match for uncle versus 95per cent plus for father. Whenever i've see paternity results in dramas they aleays seem to be 97 +3 98 per cent match which wouldn't happe for a uncle.

I do still think they sgould get another one done due to the dodgy data (sock congealed sWeat) and legalities of it and still think it might not have been Adam's sock, or Adam's sock but borrowed by one of his flat mates. Including one of James's already known sons.

wow, this has grown since I was last on

I think one thing that needs to be praised, well one person, is Victoria who rightfully pointed out that Adam was never a saint. Bravo, young lady. (I think we're the same age. I'm so patronising )

I will also say, very quickly as I have already done a full nights work, that in regards to the chat about Moira's number and her affairs, context is everything.

Take care of yourself and each other and I'II contribute more when I get up.

exactly in context Moira has had 2 extra marital affairs, which no matter what you may think in terms of numbers is FAR worse then having losts of partners whilst single

I'm still waiting for the sucker punch that it was actually one of Ross' socks he sent off for testing.
Me too.

No one has questioned it so far - not even Moira.

That's not what i meant at all. Furthermore she's only had one affair and one ONS. Lets not build the James thing to be bigger than it is.

Ironically you talk about context - a one night stand (which is what we've been told about her dalliance with James) hardly amounts to an affair - a mistake (and that's something she has never wavered from) - and the 2nd "affair" is now the man she is currently married to.

Context is everything

1 = Why? It's a fictional character. Not a million miles different from the 'actress', granted, but still.
I take it you know Charley to be able to make this kind of assumption?

I don't blame Moira for sleeping with James all those years ago. She was very young at the time and we all make mistakes and considering she's living in a soap, she is bound to make more than most. However, I haven't really liked her behaviour since James confronted her about Adam's age. Continually lying and scheming, keeping from the truth from Adam, locking Chas in the cellar, etc. I'd have respected her more if she'd just sat Adam down and told him the truth, however hard that might have been.
Have to agree with this Steve.

Yeah, people really need to stop trying to make spurious links between characters and actors.

Have to agree with this Steve.
Me too. Moira's character has certainly been written to show a less attractive side to her since then. To me, that's a fail on the part of the writers.

Yes, he got it from Andy's house (hence me saying it could have Ross' sock got in by mistake) but i'm sure he asked whose washing it was and Ross said 'Mummy boys, waiting to go back to be done' which I assumed To mean Adam was taking his laundry back to Moira's to do.
Sorry I thought you were saying it was already at Moira's and I didn't remember Ross saying that. I stand corrected. I would assume that he was taking it back to Moira's though you'd think he's put it in a bag and not a wash basket (easier to carry)

Very true, I have on occasions worn my mum's socks. If a DNA test was done I could be my older sister's mother...maybe?

It could even have been one of James's own socks that he sent off.

Very true or one of Finns? I hope to god that's where the storyline is heading.

Also I feel that there is more to come in the way of Slut Shaming Moira on Tuesday going by the spoilers

Is Bill Ward permanent or on an extended guest stint?

I'm sure someone will ask why he would make it up well maybe he was resentful that Moira and John had a long (basically) happy marriage whilst his fell apart when his wife found out that he'd slept with Moira

Well he did say to Moira that he wanted her to suffer and lose everything, like he had, seems like his 'plan' could be working. If that's what it is.
