Is it wrong to feel for suarez a bit, i picked up the paper today and there was Chiellini with his girlfriend mocking the bite? and smiling, Yes its bad what he's done but seeing this made me sick!

If he didn't bite him then they wouldn't be able to mock him.

Personally I don't feel bad/sorry or concern for him.

The family, friends, teammates, club & country team management should be concerned about him.

no sympathy whatsoever for someone with his ability who resorts to the type of behaviour he does

as if the bite itself wasn't bad enough he then pretended to have been elbowed by chiellini , went down holding his face in the penalty area quite obviously trying to con the referee into awarding a penalty and maybe sending chiellini off

the apparent pre-meditation actually makes what he did even worse

Of course it isn't bad to feel sorry for him. I wouldn't call what he did pre-meditated. I doubt he planned it in advance. That doesn't excuse him his punishment though. Biting, however minor, is inexcusable. The potential for serious, permanent, harm is there. But I still feel some sympathy for him because he is not in control of his agression.

Lets put it this way, if your child got bitten playing football would you feel sorry for the player who did it?. Sure heck I would not. I be livid. Suarez should of been banned a year .

so in a 0-0 game biting someone to provoke a reaction and then going down as if he'd been shot in the penalty area in what looked like a bid to con the referee into awarding a penalty didn't require at least a bit of pre-meditation ?

I think he bit him out of frustration. Then he reacted to Chiellini's response to try and cover up what he had done. So no, I don't think it was premeditated. If he'd thought about it in advance he would have realised what would happen as a result, and therefore not done it. His reaction after the game clearly showed his guilty feelings about it.

I cannot find any sympathy for him at all. In fact I find it hard not to revel in the fact that he's missing the rest of the World Cup!

He needs sectioning then. No normal human being just starts biting other people because they feel 'frustrated'.

Well he certainly needs help. I can't agree with you that it's something to celebrate that he's out of the World Cup. A fit Suarez is a great player to watch. Also, I'd rather see Uruguay lose to Columbia with him in the side to share the pain.

For me it's hard to feel sorry for someone who did what he did and gets a hero's welcome when he goes home.

Why does Chiellini posing for a humorous photo make you sick exactly? He was bit and then even said the punishment was excessive, if anything he's one of the few people trying not to make it bigger than it is.

Actually think Chielini comes out of this well as you say.

Yes, that was made him look even more guilty and it was also rather funny. He was clasping his teeth as if he was the one that had been assaulted.

If there is a textbook on 'How to commit a sporting crime and make an idiot of yourself', Mr Suarez is the author!

I certainly do not feel sorry for him, if anything I feel he has been let off very likely. Barcelona still want him although he'll be out for 4 months which is insane.

He should be banned for life.

If he'd shown some sort of remorse, or himself/team-mates just admitted he did it, the whole situation would be more palatable. As it stands 4 months seems far to lenient, especially considering it it falls within time off/pre-season.

Do I feel sorry for a multi-millionaire, talented footballer with the world at his feet who cheats and lies and cannot control his behaviour? No

I feel sorry due to the fact he's got mental health issues. Couldn't care less if he was banned for 4 months or life.

In the Premier League, Suarez trips on his bootlaces in a bid to win penalties. In this World Cup, Suarez bites Chielini claiming he had been elbowed in a bid to win a penalty. And in South Africa, he handballed to deprive Ghana of a goal. IMHO Suarez is a professional football cheat whose motivation is to win at any cost.

Suarez behaviour shows he is disinterested what everyone thinks and shows no remorse. Suarez would have family, friends and football people to advise him what is unsportsmanlike. The response from the Uruguayan FA is Suarez's actions are heroic!

So the food companies and individuals mocking him is a reasonable response.

I agree, he deserves no respect and neither do the Uruguyan FA, oh and the President for that matter. He is a cheat of the highest order.

1 thing that just occurred to me, however unlikely it is, if Uruguay win the world cup Suarez won't be alllwed in the stadium to lift the cup or collect his medal. Would FIFA post his medal to him or would Luis find Sepp knocking on his door in a few weeks ready to present it to him with the cameras ready

He gets no sympathy from me. The man is a proven cheat and has carried out practically every trick in the book to gain unfair advantage in countless matches. I hoped he learned his lesson from the previous ban and thought he overcame his demons with incredible performances from Liverpool. He clearly hasn't learned anything and I hope to see the back of him.

It's not wrong for you to feel sorry for him, your a human being looking at it from different angles. I would however say to you that sympathy for a liar can be very misplaced as he is also a liar too and in some ways that is worse!
