I do hope not! It's the best Tardis Console Room since the days of Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy.

I don't cope well, when it comes to changes, especially BIG changes. I wouldn't want there to be yet another Console Room change or 'desktop theme' change. We've already had two looks to the Console Room since Matt Smith took over as the Doctor in 2010.

No, I want the one we had from The Snowmen-Time of the Doctor to stay the same. It's my all-time favourite from Nu-Who.

I'll be quite dissapointed if Michael Pickwoad, the set designer from 2011 onwards, gives it yet another new look.

Just new lighting as far as I can tell.

Oh, and new furniture.

Just looks like a lighting change to me - new Tardis feel for a new series without new expense. Which is fine by me as the current design, whihc is great, hasn't really had enough time to bed in yet.

I'm not sure it has changed. It just looks like a dodgy photoshop job to me. Even the orange lighting may just be for the purpose of this promotional photo.

The lighting on the time rotor has indeed changed, going off the TARDIS backdrops on set.

They should get rid of the "atmospheric lighting nonsense".

I actually far prefer the 'atmospheric lighting'. I like the room to be a little darker - it helps the Tardis maintain an element of mystery and uncertainty. I also prefer to use reds, yellows and golds rather than blues and greens for the interior...warmer, homelier colours so that even if it's more of a machine than a living thing you still feel welcome in there.

Blimey, your brain must explode every time the Doctor regenerates then

I like a bit of change - ask anyone. I'd be quite partial to a new desktop theme: it's good to jazz things up a bit, mix it up, etc...

I hope they keep the new title sequence. Obviously replace Smith's face with Capaldi's. It's my favourite since 2005.

seems there is a change of colouring from the grey/blue lighting to a sort of warmer, gold/orange kinda look - have to say I think I prefer the previous, but I like the idea of a slight change to the look of it, but keeping the same basic model previously used.

Looks like there's a row of new lights along the base of the upper walkway (to the left of the image running into Clara's shoulder and then to the right of Peter's elbow) - I've looked at the console room in Google maps to compare it and there doesn't seem to be a row of lights going around it that I can see.

Here's a larger image I found which lets you see a little more detail, such as the bookcase (which also seems to have a little alarm clock on it - to the lower right of the roundel which is over Clara's shoulder) etc: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5zswSEa-VK...BBCAbugged.jpg

I notice Clara has co-ordinated the colour of her belt to match the TARDIS.

Can we take this as proof that the two of them are getting on better nowadays?

I really really hope they don't. The current one is very poorly made.
The colours are too saturated, the TARDIS looks fake and poorly rendered, the TARDIS doesn't blend in with the rest of the scene at the beginning, the TARDIS doors open outwards at the end, and there is a wolf drinking a cup of tea in the bottom right corner 5 seconds in.
Basically they look fan-made and aren't really much better than this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1fYVyqTlTE

On the subject of titles, I wouldn't mind if they include elements of the String of Tins theme. Somebody has tried.

No offence but If you can't handle changes how do you watch a show that is constantly changing? there's almost a big change every few series.

To me the console room changing isn't a big change really, especially when you got the ultimate big change of a new doctor to get your head around, and since it changed a couple of times during 11's era with no fuss made, it seems less of a big deal than ever.
