Lg G3
Has anyone got their hands on the G3? Your thoughts would be appreciated,as I'm in thinking of having one.

I like the look of the G3 but in many markets LG is just not regarded as comparable to Samsung, Sony and HTC, yet. The G3 may change that but it has a lot of convincing to do even with a £100 price point advantage.

LG available in 5 hues at launch...
I've seen the G3 in stores and it looks awesome. I'm just wondering where all the colours of the LG G3 are. It was all over the news that it would be available in black, white, gold, red and violet. I've looked everywhere and the only colours i can find are the black, white and gold. No sign of the red or violet ones though... very disappointed!!!

I had a quick play with one in Carphone Warehouse earlier. Dimensions, and feel, are glorious. You can tell the back is plastic when you hold it, but it isn't *as* plastic as the Samsung Galaxy line. Size of the screen is SO good, and proportion of screen to body is amazing. It looks and feels like the (my) perfect phone. I was really put off by how cartoony the G2 interface generally was, but the interface for the G3 is a lot more classy. I have read about the phone and know the screen brightness and battery need to be considered - the one in the shop was set to full brightness, and the screen looked very good. I tried dimming it to the same level my HTC One is usually set to, around 30-40%, and this was way too low on the G3. I had to set it around 70-75% for acceptable levels of brightness, so I'm not sure what effect this might have on battery on a day to day basis - will wait to see what people who buy to phone to think
Still very interested in this phone!

I thought they were being released here, according to this website they are.
http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/l...able-at-launch At the moment only the 16GB/2GB RAM version will be launched in the UK. The burgundy red and moon violet colours will not launch in the UK. This may change in the future but this is how it is for now. If you're desperate for a colour then the options are to buy a case or to import the model you want. Source: LG themselves. |
