Today's game I believe will be the first with water breaks after 30 minutes of each half.
No, there was one other - USA v Portugal in the group stage.

Wasn't there a USA game where all the players went for a drinks break at one point? Was that just an unofficial break?

I don't think that was an official break. They just went off whilst someone got treatment.

Martin O'Neill was right some of these arrogant Dutch coaches think they invented the game.

Why they don't have the water breaks at the 20/25 minute mark ? Seems odd they have a break 15 mins before a 15 min break.

Anyone else found it all a bit odd with the ITV team at the beach ? It looked more like the oddest lad day out in benidorm pre drinks before hitting the bars. Charles looked like he was about to go scouting or hiking, O'neill clearly not happy in the sun at all and very angry at everything. Hoddle looks like he wants to sell you a cheap fake watch but is too hot to bother with it. Poor Fabio just looks a bit confused and just wants the world cup to end now.

You could see a tourist waving behind them at the beach and a security guard step out the shadows to get rid of them.

Perfect summary.

I hate ITV coverage with a vengeance, mainly because of that oaf Chiles. I just can't watch him, so only turned back just before kick off. Sadly I was a little too early and my eyes had to endure the truly disgusting sight of Chiles in shorts... ....chatting sh*te.

He did it well against Chile. Completely nullified them.

Camera-work already looks better than some of these matches, you can actually see the players for a change.

Silly to play a game in Fortaleza in the early slot. Why not have it as one of the late games given the heat?

Presume De Jong is injured as the teams will need 3 subs in this heat.

Is De Jong suffering a little heat stroke?

He seemed to have his foot trod on in the opening minute or two and was hobbling afterwards.

Strewth these commentators suck. Trying to ignore them. Might turn off the noise and listen to 5 Live instead.

I wouldn't mind a penalty shoot-out here. Just to see how the Mexico goalie does.
