I can see why you say that because, ultimately, the Greeks are not at the World Cup to entertain, they're at the World Cup to go as far as they can and if their best chance of doing that is to play to their defensive strengths then that's how they should play.
However, you can't deny that the reason everyone's raving about how brilliant this World Cup is is because most of the teams have played in an open, attacking way and the duller interludes we have witnessed have come from teams like Greece sitting back and just trying to eke out a winning goal on the counter attack.
If you want to imagine what a whole tournament like that would be like, think back to Italia '90 and the appallingly sparse quality of the football on display there - and I don't think too many people look back on Euro 2004 (which Greece won) with much fondness either.
The other point to make with Greece, though, is that they're capable of being effective in an attacking sense when they're forced to come out and indeed proved it against the Ivory Coast earlier this week - so on that basis it's a shame they're not inclined to do that until they really need to.
