Ivory Coast had them dead to rights. Ditto Costa Rica. Greece have this knack of late goals. They aren't a great side but I do admire their never-say-die attitude of playing until the final whistle.”
They scored nada in their first two matches and only one goal in the run of play in three group matches. Columbia, the only truly quality side they've faced, had little trouble dispatching them. Their other matches included a scoreless draw against Japan and late win on a PK against Ivory Coast. Enough to sqeak through but hardly scintillating stuff. Quite possibly the least impressive team to advance to the quarters if they do so.
Never say die attitude? It's the knock out stages and they're up a man for the better part of the 2nd half! Would any other team be any different?
