This is the worst game of the tournament so far although we are on the 52 game, so not too bad

Glad to hear some boos.
Terrible game, would be good if there was a way neither team could go through. |

Smaller countries are proving difficult to tame.

Greece upon hearing boos must think that they're doing a good job. Its a compliment to them.

Well, that first half couldn't finish quick enough. Deserved boos at half time for two sides playing cautiously and conservatively - didn't bank on that from the Costa Ricans, I must admit - and lacking the touch to either control the midfield or consistently create chances. Have to say that Greece did have the best of the chances there were in that half though. Quote:

Trying to think what other dross we've had; Russia v Belgium and Russia v South Korea were pretty poor, and so was Japan v Greece if I remember rightly. |

The Dutch must be bricking it knowing they'll have to play either of these sides next.

Strachan is probably the best of the British summarisers over the two channels

No joke, I fell asleep 12 minutes in and woke up just before the half time whistle.
Maybe the 7 goals I predicted will come in the 2nd half ? |

Russia v South Korea was mind-numbing, there's been very small flashes of decent play here at least.

The Dutch are gonna walk over either of these teams....
Van Gaal must be leaping for joy at the way the QF looks. |

I still have nightmares about that game. In the dream, they're still taking penalties.

what happened to the energetic and enterprising Korean team of old? what happened to the arshavin-inspired dutch slayers of 4 years ago? kinda let iran off a bit as they were never going to be too attacking and Greece / japan where one team was down to 10 |
