He's around because Alan Shearer said he'd been chatting to him.

He's too busy predicting Brazil will win the World Cup. That was what he says every four years when asked.

Anyone would think he played for them.

The greatest ever? Dont think so, Maradona was the greatest player ever.

Aside from his rather sketchy and debatable football records, he constantly puts his foot in his mouth. gaff after gaff.

he has become a national embarrassment figure.

Don't think so. I know which of the two I would pick for my side in the school playground.

Isn't his son in trouble - maybe Pele doesn't want to be asked question about that so staying out of the limelight?

Maradona all day there. Tight space and being closed down by everyone who isn't a goalkeeper, that's made for Diego.

Passes of perfection, setting up fantastic goals, speed, agility, fantastic skills and a fair share of goals himself.

Pele was a great player, but he needed a decent team to thrive.

Maradona was god among men, literally if you remember a certain goal from 86. He could marshal a average team and pretty much take them to victory.

Brazil would probably get as far as they have with a 73 year old (I'm guessing) Pele rather than Fred. He'd have better movement anyway!
