France are hot favourites to win this one and Benzema will be looking to score some more goals as he fights to win the Golden Boot for the tournament.
Enjoy the match!

I have a weird taste in my mouth, that suggests Nigeria will contest this match. They shouldn't based on their performances in this competition, but they could come to the realization, they've got a great opportunity (being at the last 16 stage) and may as well go for a 'All or Nothing' attitude. Plus the whole, 'We want to prove ourselves against the best'.

But if they concede early. I believe France will score a record amount.

I actually think France might be strong contenders to get to the final.

France to win and go on to face Germany in what should be a great quarter final on Friday.

Ah, the obligatory 'I think the underdog will do much better than everyone thinks' post

Will look forward to you popping up later when Nigeria give France a good fight to say 'I told you so' , whilst quoting your own post

Of course, if France do hammer them, nobody will remember your post, so it's kind of a win, win really isn't it?

Ok, that's all bases covered. Now we can enjoy the match, whatever happens

France could win, but then again so could Nigeria. Possibly even a draw followed up by penalties.

Someone will get the last touch before the ball goes out of play but will try to claim it anyway. YOU WAIT AND SEE.

I bloody hope so! I put a fiver each way on him to do it, so there's some extra incentive for him if he needed it!

Looking forward to this one. Think France will hammer them though.

Got a couple of good bets on it. Had the mad pound bet on Nigeria to win with more than 3 goals, haha.

Teams (from FIFA) so not in formation but it seems France have gone with Giroud as the main striker whilst Benzema is out wide?

FRANCE:

Lloris (c), Debuchy, Evra, Varane, Cabaye, Valbuena, Giroud, Benzema, Matuidi, Pogba, Koscielny

Nigeria:

Enyeama, Yobo (c), Ambrose, Musa, Odemwingie, Emenike, Mikel, Moses, Oshaniwa, Onazi, Omeruo

Think this could be a repeat of the Switzerland game in that it could take the French a little while to take the lead but once they do, goals 2, 3 and possibly 4 could follow pretty quickly.

Not often I root for the French but part of me wants to see what will hopefully be an epic Germany v France QF.

I think Ivory Coast would have given France a better game than Nigeria.

I'm trying to cut out the 'I told you so comments' from people who just spend their time predicting ALL possible outcomes... They have a sort of throw enough shit at the wall and some of it will stick kind of philosophy. If it stops that, it will have been worth it. It's really a service I'm providing here...
