I wonder if people in France are complaining about moving Benzema to the left to accommodate Giroud in the team...

Ok, i'll go for an all out brawl with the match abandoned
I'm trying to cut out the 'I told you so comments' from people who just spend their time predicting ALL possible outcomes... They have a sort of throw enough shit at the wall and some of it will stick kind of philosophy. If it stops that, it will have been worth it. It's really a service I'm providing here...
Yeah but if that happens I deserve to say I told you so

Have you thought of applying for a job as a television pundit?

Do top pro footballers get brand new kit for every game?

Has Amelie Mauresmo taken a pocket radio to listen to this match while she's watching Murray on Centre COurt?

Bright start from Nigeria here.

Good start to the match in general, too.

He's pretty good wide left too.

She has successfully prayed for rain stop play.

What do you think happens when they swap shirts after the game ? The other player keeps it, so yes.

Yet another manager trying to shoehorn what he thinks are his best 11 players into a system as opposed to picking the best players for the system. If France get beat Nigeria, as I think they will I don't expect to see Benzema left of a front 3 in the quarters, probably against Germany.

Not for the first time I am wondering if this is the Pogba who is supposed to be a good player or a lousy impersonator?

Is it me or does the pitch seem a bit ropey?

You can see a few bare patches and the ball seems to be holding up and bobbling as it rolls along the turf.

Goal disallowed for offside!

And he was, just.

France not having things as much in their favour as some expected.

Offside, looked a close decision.

Edit:clearly off, looked closer in real time.

I reckon the linesman could have given the attacker the advantage there. I thought they were still supposed to?

It was very close indeed.

Benzema's blushes spared by the flag.
