Just like Zambia/Zaire(?) did in 1974!

Fernandinho's sole job tonight seems to be to keep James Rodriguez out of the game.

Lets face it though, you see this in the PL week in week out when officials are intimidated into giving decisions for the home team, especially the big 5 or so teams....

Brazil vs Chile first half was better.

Brazil looking every bit the world cup winners today, hitting their stride at exactly the right time, as i said they would

It seems like every other comm and pundit has been told how to pronounce it apart from these two.

Good half.

I like this Brazil.

If a Brazilian player went in for a two footed tackle off the ground and broke a Colombians leg I bet that ref would still only give a free kick & no card

By any means necessary. J-Ro has hardly had a sniff, along with his associates.

His next foul should be a yellow due to totting up.

Brazil have finally turned up to the party. Unfortunate not to be more than a single goal up.

No surprise they're getting some favourable decisions from the officials... again.

Colombia with a lot to think about at the break.

Lol everybody raving about the columbians before today, brazil making them look an absolute poor team and people blaming the ref, you couldnt make it up

The great mystery - how he's escaped a yellow card. The ref might be intimidated or might be letting it flow, but if he'd carded Fernandinho, Colombia might be more in it - at them moment he seems to be allowed to clatter anyone in a red shirt.

Cowardly homer refereeing. Free-kick should have been taken again and two yellow cards given to the home team. But then, why am I surprised...

Nothing. It was indirect and the first player had already touched it.
