And why do they almost always wave at the screen?

Haven't they got the sense to turn in the direction of the camera and wave at that?

If you see the left side of your face turned 45 degrees (or whatever angle) , turn 45 degrees to your left and vice versa.

You will then be looking in the general direction of the camera even if you can't see it.

I don't mind the smiling girlies - but I'm surprised at the people who take really young babies to matches - the littlest ones shouldn't be having their ears bombarded by all that noise.

I think all TV programmes could be improved by horny teenagers operating the cameras.

Inevitably there will be a goal scored from a double overhead kick through 540° in the dying seconds of a match, while a drooling horny teenage cameraman is focusing on activity elsewhere.

The swift change in emotion is weird to me. If I'd traveled thousands of miles to watch my team and they were losing I don't think I'd react that way at all. Perhaps it is just me but I think I'd do nothing or even react angrily. I wouldn't want to be on the screen in those circumstances.”

Yeah this really pisses me off.

Money spent on travel, tickets, merchandise. Your team is losing and could be crashing out of the World Cup and you are despondent... but LOOK IM ON THE BIG SCREEN. WA-HEYYYYYYY!

Morons.

It's their money and can do what they like. Their team may be crashing out but in the end is a game, the World Cup, it's Brazil, forget the result and enjoy your time there.

OP, have you ever watched the BBC's Wimbledon coverage? They use the babecam a lot between points.

And during points, depending on who's on court.

The camera is focused on athletic men the majority of the time, so it's nice for balance. If anything, the cameramen are all about equality. Look at Valon Behrami and Mats Hummels for a few seconds and tell me that the World Cup isn't dishy eye candy.

I think we should make the most of it while it lasts.

In 8 years time when the World Cup's in Qatar all we'll get is clips of female fans in burkas!

I'm surprised they let females into the stadiums.

And vultures soaring over the pitch waiting to strip the flesh from the corpses.

I doubt the OP would watch Wimbledon, after all the women and men both show their legs.

Far too racy for the OP, they probably think it corrupts the youth, don't ya know....

Are they getting the pictures from Brasil tv or have the BBC and ITV sent out their own camera crews ?

South Americans have a far more open view of beautiful sexy people and see no wrong in showing them on tv .

Its only the UK and it's puritans that is so uptight about the human body .

I think the leering of the camera directors for "hot" women in the crowd is a disgrace. Marks football out as a game for straight men only where women are only around as eye candy rather than as fans.

I believe FIFA have their own feed (company doing it for them) that they give out to all other broadcasters who just put their own graphics over it.

First of all, i ain't complaining
Secondly, i've notcied that these days they find hot women surrounded by a group of male friends. Last world cup they focused purely on the woman.
