Belgium vs USA - BBC One 9pm KO
NB: I realise a thread was started about this game but that was quite clearly a parody thread and wasn't meant for serious discussion of the game. Indeed, the thread is full of 'joke' comments. Also, the thread doesn't contain the name of both teams in the title, so I'm starting this thread as the 'official' thread for usual match discussion.
![]() Belgium have been a disappointment so far in this tournament and I really think the USA have a good opportunity to progress through to the QFs. Kompany is once again a doubt for Belgium who have won 4 of their 5 previous clashes against the Americans. USA have no injury or suspension worries going in to this fixture. Enjoy the match! |

Go Peter! I think there should be a 3rd thread with a poll deciding which thread we use to discuss the match.

Knock knock.
Who's there? Peter_Lamy Peter_Lamy who? Too late, he's gone again. Probably pop back to bump the thread a few hours before kickoff with inane shit. |

Thanks Peter. The other thread doesn't have both teams in and it isnt right. I wouldn't be too hard on the other thread starter though, i think inexperience has shown through. You on the other hand have used your experience well and created a perfectly titled thread.

I really have no idea why some people have to make something good natured fun and actually useful and turn it into a stupid mess.
Those who belong to the more 'fake' thread stay on it and leave this one alone, which is actually the better thread. Honestly doesn't matter when this thread was made, if it was made after the 'fake' thread, that really means nothing. Oh wait, yes, it means one thing - those that made the fake thread first only wanted to have their own 15 minutes of fame. Those 15 minutes are up now, leave this thread alone. Please. |

But Peters own words previously were "there is already a thread about this" so I think he would agree that the first thread made should he used.
This thread should he closed. |

If it's fame, Peter only creates threads to have his name up in lights. Outside of a subtle bump and occasional mid-thread 'I think the football is a good football maybe a goal soon?' in order to make it look like he's taking part. It's the person who screams 'first!' on article comments.
