ive just brought an iphone 5s from a friend who swapped with a friend .

now i was thinking of keeping as i have an unlocked iphone 5 and selling mine on but EE want £129 to unlock, before i just sell on for profit is there another cheaper way ?


can it be done via jailbreaking maybe ? ive not played around with jailbrake for a while but if this was to work ill give it a go

A jailbreak won't unlock.

The only people who can unlock it are the carrier. The trick is to get the person who bought the phone to unlock it before they sell it.

im going to be the 2rd person to own it so cant get in touch with original owner, thanks for reply, looks like it will be hitting ebay then
