Have to say, the last 15 minutes of radio on 5Live is quite simply the best coverage of football you'll ever hear on a Saturday afternoon. Absoloutely brilliant.

I didn't catch much of it (was waiting for the foggy conditions to finally drift at Kitzbühel so Eurosport could cover the downhill skiiing), but all I heard were BBC C&W's Geoff Foster and Richard Moon

Double ahem. Correction #3

FA Cup Fourth Round
Chelsea v Bradford City - Ian Abrahams and Ray Parlour
Liverpool v Bolton Wanderers - Sam Matterface and Ray Houghton (5.30pm commentary), with Graham Beecroft at pitchside”

While most of the 3-5pm portion of Matchday Live was Around the Grounds as usual, when Bradford City took the lead at Chelsea, Adrian Durham threw over to Ian Abrahams and Ray Parlour for commentary on the final eight minutes of normal time and the seven minutes of stoppage time at Stamford Bridge, only punctuated by news of the key goals from elsewhere until the final whistle. I've got to say that Moose and Ray did really well in conveying all of the drama and excitement of one of the biggest cup shocks of recent times - fantastic coverage.

One small correction on talkSPORT's Liverpool v Bolton commentary - Graham Beecroft wasn't heard during the match in a pitchside reporting capacity as he was on Tuesday night, but he was called upon as their post-match interviewer at Anfield while Sam Matterface and Ray Houghton were hosting Call Collymore.

Elsewhere, it turns out that their international service talkSPORT Live didn't produce their own commentary on Liverpool v Bolton (or any of the Saturday FA Cup games) as had previously been indicated on talkSPORT.com.

Thanks for posting all of the BBC WM and Free Radio 80s details from tonight Connor, particularly FR80s' reporter at the Bescot, they mentioned they'd have someone at the game on the phone-in last night so I was wondering who that was, it is much appreciated.

I must give credit to BBC WM for prioritising Walsall tonight by putting what was an absolutely massive match for the Saddlers on FM ahead of a bang average league match for Birmingham City (which was on Freeview channel 722 in the Midlands as well as DAB). Even as a Walsall fan I accept that my club will almost always be fifth in WM's pecking order of the five league clubs on their patch, but you do get occasions like tonight when clearly the Saddlers are involved in a massively more significant fixture than any other local game that they clash with and so deserve to be prioritised. I know I'd be the first to complain if WM had made a different editorial call tonight, so it's only right that I offer a few words of praise to them for making the right decision.

I was fortunate enough to be one of the 11,000 people in the sell out crowd, but I listened to WM's coverage on the way to the game and much of the phone-in on the way home, which was extended to 10.30pm and was devoted to Walsall fans and interviews from Bescot. I'm not going over the top to say that it's the best football phone-in I think I've ever heard, such was the joy and happiness of the occasion. Mike Taylor did a superb job both with the fans and with his interviews with manager Dean Smith and captain Adam Chambers. Going by what he said it sounds highly likely that WM will be doing extensive coverage on the final on March 22nd including commentary (they've commentated on every game of the run so far and surely the final will take priority over any local league match going that day) and he sounded very keen to be involved - I hope he gets to join us all at Wembley.
