Best game of the tournament, so far
ACU

The title says it all really. Whilst I havent seen all of the games, the bast games for me so far have been

Germany v Algeria closely followed by
Spain v Holland and Belgium v USA

Which game have you enjoyed the most?

I liked Germany vs Ghana and last night's USA vs Belgium best. But have loved Costa Rica, Colombia and a couple of the French performances.
Just hope the remaining games are as good and aren't decided by refs or cheating. Diving is NOT acceptable as just "part of the game".

Australia vs. Netherlands should be in the picture.

Germany vs. Algeria wins it for me.

Last night's Belgium v USA match was possibly the best extra-time I've ever seen, although whilst the game is normal time was very good, I'd say overall the best 90 minutes was Germany v Ghana. There was some awesome attacking play in that match.

My faves have been:

United States v Portugal
Belgium v United States
Spain v Netherlands
Germany v Algeria
Ivory Coast v Japan, was only going to watch first half but it was good enough to make me stay up for the whole match.

Do you think it beats France vs Germany 1982 SF? 1-1 at full time, 3-3 after extra time.

West Germany vs Italy 1970 SF? 1-1 at full time (last minute German equaliser) 4-3 after extra time.

Its in good company, I think if USA had equalised and took it to penalties, that would have possibly done it.

I agree with others Germany vs Ghana was the best so far, although its worth noting it was the second half of that game people are talking about, the first half was non eventful.

Well, obviously the magnificent way in which England held group winners Costa Rica to a 0-0 draw has to be up there with the best; as Roy Hodgson put it,

"I thought the whole back four was absolutely excellent. We restricted the team to almost no chances. In midfield we dominated and outplayed them."

Nuff said, eh Roy, or is it naff said.

Trailing that memory of 66 performance, I would pick Germany v Algeria, which had everything except a victory for Algeria.

Germany v Ghana was a great game. Probably my favourite simply due to the maverick way Ghana played that night

Germany - Algeria for me probably. Mainly because Algeria shouldn't have had a hope and yet they came so close to getting through.

Those were a bit before my time, although I have seen highlights of them. Belgium v USA was the best extra time i have seen since I have watched the world cup.

Germany - Algeria was a cracking game. Belgium v USA was good last night too.

Netherlands - Spain, a team which didn't have much pre-tournament hype and many thought may struggle to get out of the group v one of the pre-tournament favourites. Totally out played Spain and IMHO set Spain up for their early exit.

Mexico v Holland for me due to the drama, followed by Germany v Algeria and Brazil v Chile.

Yes I thoroughly enjoyed Belgium USA-not least because it seemed all about football-all the players interested in that rather than bad feeling, dives etc.

Germany vs Algeria for me too. I found Bosnia vs Argentina to be quite an interesting watch too but I presume I'm in a minority of 1 there.

Spain vs Netherlands was too one-sided to be considered as the best match.
