The nicest food in the world is *that thing* that your mum used to make when you were little and poorly/needed a special treat/being spoilt/having a birthday.

That's highly subjective but, for me, it's the vegetarian version of the Swedish Janssons frestelse where the fish is replaced by sautéed mushrooms.
