Blimey, Nick’s jealousy tonight, he was positively raging wasn’t he.
That’s a side to him I’d not seen before.

The minute he heard about ‘his’ Gail pursuing this handsome Michael chap, he turned green with envy.
He legged it straight round to that spacious gym that Karl owns, got really lippy and rude to his daughter Alma, before giving flirty Gail a right dressing down.

Mind you, Karl’s old fella stared him out I noticed.
Proper hard man’s stare that was.
The sort somebody gives you when they’re itching to smash your teeth straight down your throat.
It really frightened the kids & me, we’re pretty shaken up truth be told.

We thought he was just a seedy old git who enjoyed ogling crumpet, we had no idea he was a brazen street tough as well.

I think Nick and Kal's dad are competing to be the new tough man on the street now Owen has lost the title.

Don't think you should write Don Ches off just yet. He wouldn't like that.

I thought the way Kal's dad wore his shirt open tonight was a bit provocative. He's obviously about to show us his true colours.

I'm not in the slightest bit surprised that Nick's jealous. All that graft he's been doing on David's lodger gone to waste for the sake of flirty Gail ovulating furiously over Des Lennis.

Have to say that I'm thoroughly enjoying Kal's dad - that is the sort of bloke you want running your gym, not poncy flabby Kal. A proper blokes bloke, Ches'll get on well with him, you mark my words.

Me too. Although I always quite liked Ben Price - the character of Nick (before the effects of the crash) was a tad boring. Since then he's become rather interesting.

Nick is a **** right now

I love Nick like he is at the moment.

Leanne has been very selfish towards him, why couldn't she have stuck by her husband when he got ill and helped him through the recovery, instead she just basically ended up going up with another fella, makes the character seem very shallow and self-centred. This storyline promotes the idea that people don't stick by each other through hard times and just give up and have to find someone more perfect for them, hard times for Nick of course all ultimately caused by his brother David Platt. Indirectly his revenge lead to this situation where Leanne is split with him and has gone with Kal.


I will be celebrating when her and Kal inevitably split up over some silly reason like Kal having another affair or something as soaps do.
A really interesting storyline would be for Leanne to ultimately have another "affair" with Nick behind Kal's back all while the divorce proceedings are going through, that would be a genuinely new twist.

Price plays rather conflicted, edgy characters much more convincingly than straight forward hero types. I think they always wanted Nick to be a bit dangerous (did some fairly cruddy things like setting up against Underworld, trying to take Leanne from Peter, being somewhat callous with Natasha and Eva) but it never really came across until the brain damage.

But I agree, his jealousy over Gail is fantastic.

It's brilliant to see David and Nick teaming up again, didn't take them long to make up, lol.

An affair for Leanne would be interesting, and totally in character for her.

He spends all his time fending off Gail's randy advances, then the minute a good looking bloke like Michael shows an interest in her, he's as green as a shoot of broccoli.

He needs to quit playing fast and loose with poor Gail's emotions.

Having Les Dennis in her life has opened up a whole new dimension in social circles for Gail. The two of them are going out for dinner next week with Russ Abbot and Bella Emberg.

No doubt when she and Kal do split up she'll be demanding a share of the Gym where she is bound to start working over the next few months.
