I know some people like to dress mature, but you can still dress in a mature mannor but still look good. Leanne is only in her 30's is she not? I thought that pink coat she wore last night made her look much older than she is, not to mention the hair.

Leanne likes dressing very primly and properly as she hopes it will make people forget all about her not so prim and proper past.

I often think she dresses older than she is.

When she's in her 50s she will probably start dressing like she's in her 30s again.

I think Leanne dresses really smart, I really like her clothes, in fact I think she is the best dressed woman on the Street.

I thought this too op she dresses like she's a lot older than she actually is. This was even more obvious when Stella was around as she dressed younger and more glamorously than Leanne. The pair of them reminded me of Audrey and Gail another mother and daughter duo where the mother is the glamorous one and the daughter the dowdy one.

Only a few years ago she was a chav who slagged it about in mini skirts and was up for a quick shag for 20 quid, how things change in soapland

I actually think she dresses well. Makes a change for a younger female character not to have the usual hair extensions, fake tan and tarty clothes.

Leanne's such a frump, she makes my old Nan look cool, and she's 107.

I notice Leanne's perfect housewife ideals don't stretch to providing that grizzly little brat with nourishing, home-cooked food though.
Nope, she's always in that caff, feeding him sugary shite and greasy fare whilst explaining her latest sleazy affair to him.

No wonder the sod's so out of control.
A few home-cooked meals with vegetables, followed by a nightly thrashing with a length of birch, and she might have a half decent kid on her hands.
Some old fashioned basics to go with her dowdy attire would do Curly no harm whatsoever.

Loooool UQ,classic post as usual, hit the nail right on the head. The curly haired one needs to be brought in line before he gets out of hand. And yes op Leanne does dress like an old woman,i particularly hate the hair myself

As somewhat of a world-renowned expert in the matter, I have a theory that Leanne could potentially be a really hot woman, but she tries so hard to deceive us otherwise.

Liz ought to take her out shopping, show her a bit of the classy side of life.

I agree Uncle Q, but I think the thrashing would be better given in the morning, in advance of all the abominable things he'll do during the day. If he does anything extra awful, he can always be thrashed again in the evening.

One would have to ask the staff in the CS wardrobe department.

Leanne had a birthday yesterday, I think.

I missed it when she was a chav.

I think her clothes are variable. Some are quite nice but there are some monstrosities. That black thing with the lace pinafore bit always makes me thing why??!! I quite like her hair.

Couldn't agree more about her always taking Simon to the cafe or kebab shop. If she really can't be bothered to cook she could at least take him to the Bistro where he might get a few veggies - surely Nick would let him have a gratis meal. It can't even be that they do it so she can interact with other characters. That scene the other night when she told him about the divorce and Kal only involved Leanne and Simon so why couldn't it have taken place in their flat?

It doesn't matter how she dresses. She will only ever be able to attract idiots, morons, psychopaths or desperate blokes. That's what happens to you when you are an adulterous, drug using, insurance swindling arsonist, lottery stealing, prostitute, unfit mother, hypocritical two bit brass. It comes with the territory.

A chav? That's being generous (whatever it is); she's been a slut a tart an arsonist, a thief and a prossie.

I think Carla is the best dressed in my opinion.
I think Liz needs to help Leanne out in the wardrobe department

Totally agree OP, I've pondered on this before. Frumpy clothes in blah colours, a dated, unflattering bob... it makes Leanne's relationship with hot stuff Kal seem very unlikely.

This is NOT a personal comment on the actors - they're blank canvases. Wardrobe and make-up are there to make them look attractive or dowdy, as the director/drama dictates. I'm just curious as to why they've chosen to frump up Leanne, when she used to be quite the glamourpuss (and not in her taaaart days).

yeah Leanne could pass for 50 with that granite hard face - yet we are supposed to believe she is such a man magnet!! Only in a soap.
