She's such a sexless, frumpy drudge isn't she.

i was surprised she was only 33 i thought she was about 40, also she is a lot younger than Peter i thought they were similar ages when they were together.
I dodn't think she dresses too bad she has wore some nice tops with tight jeans in the last few episodes. If the likes of Carla or Tina wore these nobody would say anything. I think Leanne just appears older maybe its the hairstyle.

Ooh I don't know - if Carla or The Departed dressed like Leanne we'd fear for their pulling power.

Leanne's dress sense has actually improved! And I'm not talking from when she was a chav I mean from when she was with peter . Her clothes are actually horrendous, they've only slightly got better in the past couple of months. Add it to the bag, that tan leather jacket.... It's not good

To counterbalance Liz McDonald dressing like she's in her 20s.

I hate that jacket.

I thought of this thread when Eva commented on her "Amish" dress sense tonight.

She looks fine to me. She can wear what she likes.

I'm glad she dresses in such an embarrassing and laughable manner. It makes hating her all the more enjoyable. I would still like a bit more ammunition though.

I think it was Nick's influence, he wanted to turn her into his mother or Granny Ivy

Or in her 20s a la Mutton Chops McDonald.

I actually like some of the clothes she wears.

Leanne has gone up in my estimation...
Particularly since Nick revealed she wears a mattress as an overcoat...

£20 quid you say...

Now which bus will take me to Ancoats and Piccadilly...

One would have to ask the staff in the CS wardrobe department.

Leanne had a birthday yesterday, I think.”

She turned 50

yes!!! I've been pondering this myself!
Leanne is such an attractive woman but she carries herself like a 50 year old woman with her styling.
I do wish Jane Danson would let her hair grow as that boring, sensible bob ages her completely. She has so much potential. And looking stylish isn't all about hair extensions, fake tan, tarty clothes, etc.

So it's ok now to run down an actress's appearance again? Or is it just certain actress's?
I really can't keep up.

Come on Cav, let's not fall out over this. She's a highly attractive, sultry temptress and a saucy minx. Can we at least agree on that ?

I think it's her hair as well, though it has looked nice at times recently, it can easily succumb to becoming all stiff and lego like, like the hair of some snooty ole doll.
She should grow it our to shoulder length or something. She is really attractive and she's really lovely when she's happy and smiling, she has an inner light.

It's like people miss the point that Leanne is dressing for work, she has to look smart and professional for the bistro. If she spent more time going out and socialising she'd get a chance to doll herself up more.
At least she isn't walking around like a tarty teenage slob like some of the older women who are so dripping with desperation they could bottle it.

Well I can't speak for anyone else, but my point is that it's irrelevant what the actor/actress looks like. The character's appearance is created by Wardrobe, Hair & Makeup, the Director and Writers. So if Leanne-the-character-not-Jane-Danson-the-actress has swapped her young wild n sexy image for 'careworn, hardworking stepmother', it's arguably a SOR that she'd attract someone like Kal.

I wouldn't slag off an individual's facial features because that's unpleasant and unfair. But I do feel free to comment on things like hairstyle and dress style because those are professional choices that I might think, in my glorious wisdom, are misleading.

I was trying to point out that someone else was being very mean about Leanne's 'granite hard face' elsewhere on this thread, which is as you say unpleasant and unfair and rubbish as well, and not the superficial stuff like wardrobe hair etc, which is a different thing altogether as we all know.

I think it is nice that some females dress in a respectable manner, rather than like whores looking for their next sexual encounter like most young and not so young females tend to do these days.

I have never understood why females would wear a skirt or dress so short that it shows their genital area but spend every minute tugging it down as if they don't want to show everything to the world but do anyway!

Agreed.

Mind you all our comments are nothing compared to Nick's 'mattress strapped to her back' jibe. Er, yes Nick, that's a thing
