Hi everyone,

I just bought the IPhone 5C for my daughter. Ordered it online from Carphone Warehouse last night and it was delivered an hour ago. Anyway, it doesn't work. It keeps saying No Sim Card when the card is in. We've connected to WiFi but no joy.

Have been on phone to EE and Carphone Warehouse for the past hour with no resolution. Daughter has just gone into town now to a branch to see if there is any result that way.

Any advice would be gratefully received. I'm one of these people who has an ancient Nokia pay as you go.

Never had any problem with previous Samsungs for the kids from Virgin but the Virgin contract was up and daughter fancied an IPhone. Having said I "bought" it, it's on a contract £23.99 a month, I haven't actually purchaesed the handset.

We've put the SIM card in several times and it just keeps saying "no SIM".

Is it a sim for the correct network?

Just a thought but you might have to call the network to activate the new SIM? Sounds like you have done that already? Anyhow keep on to their CS for help. Good luck
Don't know about EE but Tesco take up to 24 hours to activate new SIMs.

Hi everyone, thanks for responses. Daughter has been to CW and they've checked over the phone and the SIM and BOTH are faulty. They've given her a new phone which Muggins has to go in and collect tomorrow because it's in my name.

Thanks again, hopefully I won't have the same issues tomorrow!

Unfortunate then mate, me and the wife have had iPhones for the last 4-5 years and never had any issues with them, right from the old ones up to the newest 5S, you just got unlucky there.

Lol, thanks. Hoping the replacement isn't a dud!
