I was genuinely worried about some of the stadia being rushed so hope to God we get through without any more tragedies.
FIFA should have better governence and penalties to ensure infrastructure isn't put at risk due to projects being rushed. Spain should have been the only casualties of this World Cup due to the overpass - lives being lost to the manic desperation to host a sporting event in order to cash in is something FIFA should not be allowed to forget, especially with the Qatar debacle yet to come. Shame on them and their greed. The builders who've died to construct what may become white elephants in some cases remains a disgrace. FIFA have an obligation to oversee preparations and ensure the host is sufficiently equipped to organise the event safely and with due dilligence. |

It's still breaking and not two people have been pronounced dead.
I can't remember which stadium it was but one of the stands/ends of the stadium hadn't been fishished and was a load of scaffolding. FIFA have the same worker issues in Qatar. Many dead already. |
