Kevin being rude about Konnie
Winifred
04-03-2005
Did anybody hear what Kevin said about Konnie during the clip which they show for each student before they go on stage? He said ''she gets on my bl**dy' nerves.'' How rude! I use to like Kevin but I'm not sure about him now.

I know! I think he believes his own "hype!" He can be quite nasty and OTT!

All Konnie did was suck up to the cameras she was extremely fake and i don't blame Kevin for saying that, it's quite true.

I agree that Kevin can be quite bitchy and nasty. Have seen it before in the teacher meetings in previous FAs.

That's nonsense. Sheesh, the girl shows some animation and she's "sucking up" and fake. Better to be bland and inexpressive. Probably that always seems genuine to the mind-readers.

Kevin's complaint was that Konnie took no notice of what she was being taught, he said her attention span was very short and she didn't do what she'd been told to on stage.

All of them had a go at her in the meeting that was shown on BBC3, it wasn't just Kevin (see posts 307-314) - so she must have been tremendously anoying for them all to have a go at her.

Bloody gorgeous though isn't she? I'd certainly be ready to sail with her 'Blue Peter' flying at the top of my mast!

I can't believe they've sacked her off so soon - what's left looks (and in the most part sounds) like a right freak show.

Which has nothing to do with "sucking up to the camera" or "being fake". On the other hand, it is in line with the claim that she wasn't taking things seriously, which, as it happens, doesn't bother me. Many of the others are taking it too seriously.

There's nothing in posts 307-314 that shows they all had a go at her, much less that they or anyone had any good reason to find her "tremendously annoying". "She is on another planer"? So what?

Besides, that thread is about last night's show. I saw that. It was no big deal. It was also selected out of all the footage, some of which may well have given a very different impression. (Have people learned nothing from the editing in Big Brother?)

Blimey Veri, this is Comic Relief Fame Academy, maybe you should try some Comic Relief yourself and not take things quite so seriously.

Its nothing to do with being animated.

Ade and Edith are very animated

Konnie was always pulling little girl faces and gurning at the camera, during the live streaming, in a way that none of the others ever do.

The comments about her were spot on, worthy of a blue peter badge i'd say

Edith isn't.

According to you. To me, it sounds more like she's enjoying herself and having some fun. That would fit with what I've seen of her at other times and in other shows, and no one's given me any good reason to believe she's any different in the live streamings.

Maybe people should stop being spinning mind-readers.

What are you talking about? ... No, scrap that ... I don't really want to know. This is Comic Relief and I watch it for pure entertainment value, if I felt like a serious debate, I'd go to the Politics forum. So let's just both enjoy the programme for what we think it's worth.

Why would anyone have to give YOU any reasons for anything.

Have you been watching the live stream? If not your really not qualified to comment on wether Kevins comments about Konnie were justified or not.

Who said anyone has to? But one thing I've leaned in these forums is not to trust anyone's interpretations of the live stream.

... and watching the edited version gives anyone a better interpretation?* Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

* and no, I know you didn't say that but watching the live streaming gives a better view than biased editing, especially when several viewers interpret the streaming in the same way.

If a FM whose opinion I've grown to trust tells me that Konnie was different on the live feed than she is on other shows and gives some reason apart from mind-reading to think there was anything "fake" about it, then I will take it seriously. Otherwise, the most likely explanation will remain that they are just people who interpret normal Konnie as fake for reasons of their own.

I am not even slightly impressed by several viewers thinking the same. I've seen too many cases in other shows, including many cases in shows where I also watch the live stream.

Besides, some of the supposed evidence in this thread was about the BBC 1 show.
